After looking at this screenshot from the Assault carrier in HaloI looked at the ship and its seems from appearance alone that the ship can separate in to 2 separate sections. Perhaps if it does will could/will see this happpen in Halo 3. It appears as if the rear section could separate from the front top sction that slopes back.http://halouvre.org/gallery/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadIte m&g2_itemId=3193&g2_serialNumber=1}( This is not a Halo 3 screenshot, but rather a great wallpaper from Major Dump at Halouvre.org )What do you think ? can the ship separate into 2 sections/ different ships ?[Edited on 7/13/2006]
Probably for emergency escape reasons. Bit like the enterprise.
looks like it, but I dont know why the covenet would want to split a ship? surely they dont use those in combat!?

I agree. It could be a some sort of separation and escape device in case of a emergancy.
true, but how often do the covenant have to worry about the reactor core exploding?
Hey the reactor exploded in Halo 2 when chief put the bomb in it. Better safe than sorry.also the MAC rounds can go right through a covenant ship.
Posted by: AnimeArchfiendtrue, but how often do the covenant have to worry about the reactor core exploding? Not a-lot but let's say that a MAC round tore through there engines and created a breach in the reactor core then the core would explode in a matter of minutes. This happened to the Enterprise
i never thought halo would cross paths with star trek
