<Start Adam Sessler quote> Okay, let me check, my Xbox is white, it has the number 360 on it, <end Adam Sessler quote>and it definately doesn't say "Holy Bible" on it, nor does Halo 3! =D

Stop making references between Halo and the bible. There are similarities, but it's not about the bible. Geeze. Freakin' overly-religous Christian gamers. Go play "Jesus' Big Adventure: The legend of the Demonic Darwin and his evil evolution theories", not Halo.

Please, please, for the love of his highness of covie-kicking, Master Chief, STOP CALLING HALO THE DIGITAL VERSION OF THE FREAKING BIBLE! It's about guns, blood, death, and war, not the f***ing Revelation!

Flame or comment accordingly.

I agree with the topic starter.

I don't care how "religious" Jason Jones is, I don't see religion in halo.

I doubt they said that.

Maybe you're getting confused with people referencing the Halo Bible.

I haven't seen anybody saying that Halo is Bible. What I have seen is that people are saying that there are strong biblical Parallels, and that has been confirmed by Bungie.

I'm sure that most people will acknowledge that Halo draws inspiration from many sources.

More or less, Halo is more Greek/Roman mytholigy than it is Biblical.

Chill out dude. There are biblical allegories in the Halo universe. Get over it. You can make biblical allegories to lots of things. The Matrix, and Lord of the Rings to name a few. And were using these references to try and figure out the mystery behind the Forerunners, the Ark, and the Halos. So just shut up.

I don't remember there being biblical parallels in Lord of the Rings. I'm pretty sure Tolkien was against that.

He had Gods and Godesses in the novels, which isn't a Christian idea.

The amount or mass of references can not all come from one source, there are many. Greek/Roman Mythology, Christianity and many more...

It angers me because it's just a video game. References or not. It's just a video game.

.......A great and wildly popular "just a video game".

Yea..........hmm. There are actually many similarities. X-Play is a very good show. But G-4 in general preety much sucks.

Oh, and about your post in general, incredibly insulting. Just because you don't like the Bible or whatever, doesn't mean that you can be such a jerk about it. Just because you think that every body is as insecure as you doesn't mean tyhey are.

Darwin and his evil theories? You my sir are one of the hugest religious bigots I've ever seen.

Yea, don't be such a stereotypical generalizing jerk.

Nobody was saying it was the Bible. People were saying it drew a lot of inspiration from the Bible. If you don't see any, try reading the posts by the people who do. And try actually reading this time. At lot of them have direct, word for word quotes from the Bible and the Halo stuff that match perfectly. Just because you can't see it, don't get mad at people who can.

And we're not all overly religious. As for me, I'm not quite sure where I stand on that, but at least some of the people aren't religious at all.

well...I gotta agree that there has been a lot of crazy theories but I haven't heard the words "Halo is the Bible" anywhere. Some of these people are reeeeally stretching "similarities" between Halo and the Bible. I think we call all agree that Bungie did, in fact, put SOME biblical references into Halo in order to deepen symbolism in the game BUT THAT'S IT.

Some of these nuts are saying stuff like, "Well, in Genesis there is a great flood so Noah and his family escape from it. Hmmmmmm...I GOT IT!!! Since the words "Flood" and "escape" are mentioned in the same story, that must mean like escaping from the Halo Flood! I am such a genious!

There is something wrong with this kind of logic...

Your acting like a child...just because it is a game, and someone calls it the bible doesn't make it right to get all upset about it...just ignore them.

You should look closer into it. Perhaps the Bible first, and then give Halo a second play through. You'll be enlightened.

Before you make false statements like, "People say Halo is the Bible," you should think back. Has anyone actually said those words, or have I twisted them to what I want to hear?

People see similarities between the two because there are. Unfortunately you have to know "something" about both stories to see them. Judging that you dropped the D bomb, tells us who know, all we need to know about you and that this thread is retarded.

Thanks for coming out though.

First: I am not ripping on christian beliefs, I, myself am Presbyterian (mind spelling), which is a Christian branch, I'm just saying all the research and chapters of relating Biblical content to Halo is foolish, we all know Halo has Biblical, Roman, and Greek references within its kickass content.
