To play or not to play....

We all know the Gravemind seems to control the Flood from Delta Halo but what about the other Halo's? Is there one leader Gravemind or is there a Gravemind for each Halo? Possibly even something that controls the Gravemind/s?

Sgt Johnson survived in a Pelikan and was picked up by the Master Chief and Cortana.

He survived the Flood because he is suffrering from Boren's Syndrome which basically means he has abnormal frequencies in his nervous system so the Flood can't lock on to his neural frequency. The Flood find him to be undesirable for infection.

Oh and the condition is killing Sgt Johnson so yeah it hurt him bad.

and there is something about chief like telling someone about it or not, but that would mean johnson would die. someone help me out

Basically the Master Chief agreed not to tell anyone about Sgt johnsons condition as he knew it would mean that Sgt Johnson would be subject to ONI's experiments. As Sgt johnson helped the Master Chief out so much the Master Chief swore never to tell a soul of Sgt Jonson's secret.

Remember Halo 1? That thing Captain Keyes was attatched to? Maybe that's another gravemind except it's not fully developed yet.

Possibly but it seemed more like a brain form of the Flood. We see similar forms inside the Pelicans and other structures (particularly all over High Charity). The brain forms are essentially for thinking and operating stuff. We are all familar with the combat forms but there are many forms of the Flood including even the Gravemind form.
