Find me a quote that states the "gravemind" controls the flood?

Find me a qoute and some reason to belive that "gravemind" can take over A.I. constructs?

I think that "gravemind" will be affected by the halos activation becuase he is quite a large and obviously intelegent lifeform. What do you think and could that be the reason he doesnt want halos activated?

---I've heard alot of claims about the gravemind and they all seem to make him out to be a little more powerfull than i belive. I dont know if he comtrols the flood. I want to know if anyone knows for sure. I dont belive he can control an A.i. construct, but i do think he could be manipulating either cortana with knowledge or using the "insane" penitant tangent. The last questions just speculation.---

Gravemind is God, it's in the Bible in the back somewhere.

My favorite book of the bible is the one where jesus swallows the puzzle peice and the man in the big yellow hat takes him to the hospital.

Find me a quote that says he will be affected by Halo's activation.

Find me a quote that that's why he doesn't want the Halo's activated.

See... I can play this game, too.

It's all speculation at this point.

... your an idiot. that was Question not statement. its when you drop the tone of your voice at the end of a sentence and imply a response. Not another question. I never said he would be... i asked if people thought he would be.

Mr. Gravemind,

There have been allegations of an affair between you and a Ms. Cortana. How do you think this will affect your campaign next year?

The only question you asked was "What do you think, and could that be the reason he doesn't want Halos activated?", and it didn't even include a question mark.

How am I supposed to know the tone of your voice from reading something that you typed? (See, THAT was a question.)

Dumb? Just because you stick a question mark at the end, that doesn't make it a question.

Oh, and it's Communist.

It's also Fourth Horseman... or Four Horsemen.

Wow, great show of your intelligence. Putting that aside. Where's the proof that gravemind is at all intelligent? Maybe he's like a parrot! Just quoting what other people said before. Maybe the Forerunners liked to keep giant octopus pets and teach them to talk.

basically all we know is that to some degree, he can interface with the halo's teleporting system (i forgot what it was called, some sort of grid?)

he can talk.

That's about all we know. If i left anything out tell me, but provide proof.

haha thanks you. I think he's using the teloportation grid through his control of peniatant tangent though.

Oh, also he has some motor functions. We have yet to see if he can actually move anything but his tentacles and head-thingy. For all we know he could be trapped or held in place.

and he can like uhhh.... How did he make the Prophet of truth come up like that in Halo 2?
That would be cool if Gravemind is like a caterpiller octopus and turns into a nuclear octopus butterfly

Gravermind is most likely the controller of the flood. He is thought of as the Queen Aunt of the flood, the ruler so to speak and is the main entity. That has all been confirmed. Look at the Art of Halo Book and even what Bungie Employees have said. Also, he is comprised fallen flood and of a ton of other life forms, Originally his teeth were supposed to be different skulls.

To play or not to play....

The Gravemind can most certianly move around. The Gravemind managed to get on High Charity didn't it? That would be a bit hard to do if you couldn't move. Going by the Cinematics in Halo 2 the Gravemind seems to either float or hang fro the ceiling in the room he is first seen in. Though it is hard to tell much of anything at this stage.

If one uses a fly cam during that cinematic, one can see that his main body seems to attach to the bottom of the room, with some thick roots going through the walls and ceilings.
