I re-installed halo, and now I can't get the update, my computer settings will allow it to connect and download it, but it gets stuck on "updating game" or on the last setting, it gets downloaded, but I don't get that security setting from microsoft to allow it. I hit ctrl alt del, and it doesn't work, so I have to restart.

Also, sometimes my mouse cursor disapperas, how do I fix that?

What? Play a game? FOR FUN???
This concept of fun confuses and infuriates me!

hmmm

Thats.. a bit spammy.

Try manually downloading it from the site, instead of letting the auto update doing it. See if that works. Otherwise, I have no clue.

Try using it on the " Smooth and Silence " mode, works for me.

If you go to the microsofts site for Halo Combat Evolved and go to Downloads try there. And for for mouse i have no clue. Also you disc might be scratched! maybe be getting it re surfaced will help, its pretty chap i just did it a few days ago for 4 bucks. Most cd shops do it

But i highly suggest not using a Leaf Blower in this situation

wtf?

that's what shows up when I try to get the update, I have to hit ctrl alt del, and that stuff pops up, and I can't click anything, forcing me to restart, or waiting for an hour for something to happen.

Do you absolutely Have to go into Task manager? Have you tried waiting for a while after the warning shows up? Sometimes warning windows take a while to load when you are running a big program (i.e. Halo PC)

It could also happen if you have the security settings on your Firewall turned up too high...

I've had the same problem. When halo won't run or task manager won't appear. It's called spywear. Check your Documents and settings folder. Look for a Shared folder. If it's empty, delete it. That solved most of my problems.

My firewall settings aren't too high, and I never had this problem, I waited like 30 mins for the damn thing to say "allow microsoft blah blah"

I continued to wait and wait, and nothing will show up, forcing me to hit ctrl alt del, in order to close it down. then my damn computer freezes again, forcing me to restart.

I bought it at target brand new with the seal on it. It worked plenty of other times.

I can't download v1.07 without registering an account, too lazy.

OR you can just get a free Anti spyware program... i reccomend Spybot Search and destroy... it scans fairly fast, and has worked wonderfully for me.

I used that, and it didn't work. I left my pc on all day long today, and the update still didn't install!
