I've been playing Halo 1 again, and I noticed something. When you reach the bridge on the level The Maw, there is a cutscene where 343 Guilty Spark attempts to stop you from destroying Halo 04.

Guilty Spark says the following: "You can't imagine how exciting this is! To have a record of all of our lost time! Human history, is it? Fascinating."

When I was playing it before, "all our lost time" was the time between when 343 betrayed the Chief and that scene in The Maw. However, it's not quite that long a period of time. Additionally, why would he mention human history? Perhaps the "all our lost time" is the time from when 343 last saw Reclaimers, over a hundred thousand years ago.

Just some food for thought.

personally i believe it means that there may be a connection between humans and forerunners

GS says a LOT of things that hint about the origin of the "reclaimers"

Sorry if this is a repeat. It's just one arguement I hadn't seen, but somebody probably already has said it before...

I think there is a strong chance humans are the forerunners. That would be pretty cool to find that out in Halo 3.

hmmmm

notice that GS says:

*Forerunner

*Reclaimer

*Human

but never makes a connection between the three. sure i believe that humans=reclaimers=forerunner, but i would expect that the guy who was told to watch over the place would express some form of ........"emotion" that his creators are back

he kinda does when he says: "Their survival as a race was dependant on it. I am grateful to see some of them survived to reproduce"................

He seemed a tad upset to me while he was screaming at me in the Library to "Stop being so Human!".

Sure, I was blasting at him with a shotgun for anger management at the time, but come on!
