Just a quick thought, and maybe someone has said it before, but dinosaurs were about 65 milion years ago right? Maybe the first activation of the Halos was what killed all life (or most of it) on Earth before humans came along (thus prooving humans NOT forerunners)
1. Forerunners can't be THAT old.
2. Last time I checked dinosaurs don't really qualify as sentient life, and since the rings only kill off sentient life.....no.

"omg a ppl footprint is in teh dinosaur footprint." So if I make a footprint on the moon, does that mean that I was around when the moon was formed?
Re-work your logic.
Apparently you know nothing about geology. Fossillized footprints have to be made at roughly the same time. If a dinosaur made a footprint, it fossilized into rock, and then a human 65 million years later put a foot into it, it wouldn't make a footprint, because it's freaking rock. Therefore, in order for the human footprint to be fossilized inside the dinosaur footprint, they would have had to have been made at roughly the same time.
re-work your logic.
