This may have been posted before, but who better for the Arbiter to fight than an infected Master Chief?

Flame away...

How about no infected chief and no boss fight?

I'd like a less cliche ending than a boss fight, I'd like a more intense, edge of your seat kinda ending.

Not a flipping boss fight.

No. Why? Becuase a) Boss battles arent really with the times anymore in FPS's besides Quake and Doom. b) The MC shouldnt become infected, it would be a horrible plot twist, and would mean that you would yet again finish the game as the Arbiter. c) Halo CE's puzzle like ending level was much more realistic than an all powerful being that has near infinite health. I say bring back massive numbers of enemies rahter than bosses.

No Boss fights. Every FPS game I have played has horrible boss fights, and that includes Half-Life, Halo 2, and Doom 1-3.

I agree. The battle near the end of Two Betrayals to grab a banshee was fun and difficult, where Boss battles on Halo 2 were easy to dodge and defeat. Even Tartarus was easy to beat on Legendary. He had a lot of life so it took a while, but he was still easy to dodge and shoot.

Great contribution to the thread. Anyways... Quake 4 had a fairly touch boss fight, but incredibly predictable. Thats what i dont like about boss fights, they get predictable. Whereas in a massive flood of enemies, there is nothing at all predictable about it. Its challenging almost everytime, and something new happens almost everytime.

what if you werent paying attention to tartarass and focused you attention on the brutes that come in to help tartarus, like some of my halo "fanatic" friends at school
