I want to be able the see cracks in both the spartan armor and elite armors at least then when the blood splatters all over the place it will look realstic. Rather then just blood splattering all over the place with no holes anywhere on the armor.
So what are your guys ideas on how destructable the enviroment should be?

I want to at least be able to see PERMINENT damage on the walls after they get shot and I think cracks should only appear on the chief/elite if he gets shot when his shields are down.

There should be some fully destructible objects, but not everything. It would be good if select walls, bridges, small cover objects, and other things to be able to be destroyed. Can't have everything destructible, it can leave to much possiblities for really cheap tactics. There should definatley be some good ragdoll in H3, and damage on player's armor is a nice touch, even if barely noticlble in combat.

I want it so if you hit a tree, it goes down. Oh, and I don't want disapearing bodies, because after a huge battle, you look back, and see bodies everywhere. *sniff* isnt it beautiful?

I think that Halo 3 should definitely have more destructible terrain similar to Zanzibar, In the defending base, the pillars can be broken into pieces.
I'd like to see more of that around the Multiplayer levels.

And as far as bullet holes go, I think they should be normal Map, that is what they do in F.E.A.R, and it looks great.

The bases in mutiplayer should be pretty much destructible excpet for some parts of it. I mean you should be able to make blow some walls on the bases. As for the enviroment the walls should have falling debris when hit and there should be dust all over the place. If plasma bolts hit the walls they should melt. The sniper rifle bullets shoulb be able to go throug walls provided it does not come with thermal vision or it would be the ultimate noob weapon.
Keep those ideas coming.

I think almost everything should be destructible, bodies, buildings, trees, ground, vehicles. The only exeption should be the walls on some bases, otherwise it would change the gameplay a little too much. I dont want the bodies to dissapear either. I want there to be total chaos and destruction.

I want it to be quite destructible.. In multiplayer I don't want complete buildings to be destroyed cus' then objective games would suck. But it would be cool to throw a grenade and then it makes a ditch that you can take cover in.

i think too much destructable things will result in serious LAG. And i'm sure you would chose no lag with a little more enhancments to the destructablilty, over really awesome features with big fat -blam!- ugly -blam!- lag. -blam!-

As long as they're not floating in the air.. It happens sometimes in FEAR. I'd love to see the whole chipping of rocks and flying of sparks as well.

The only complaint I have about FEAR's bullet decals is the fact that they are not 3D, instead of 2D sprites.

i want it to be fairly destructable.

but what i want most is to have the armor and whatnot be destructable i really want it to feel like i am ripping them to shreds when i empty 2 smg clips simultaneously from point blank range. i want to see intestines falling out blood splattering everywhere etc etc. it would be a cool affect to have the screen get a little shaky while your getting shot at that would be awesome but maybe a little hard.

I would love fires from vehicles maybe start wildfires. And they would burn part of the map. And i want to be able to shoot off that mettle bar in headlong.

For Campaign (and Survival mode, if it's implemented) I'd like destructability like BLACK, or Crysis..for Multiplayer, I'd like to be able to knock down trees, and blow pillars up..blow holes partially through walls, etc. Bases should have an inner 'indestructable' portion, but you could chip away enormous holes on the outer layer of the wall..
