since I've got halo pc, and we have to lead our shots usually, i'd feel sorry for anyone I come up against when I get to play halo xbox some time, they'd die before they live.
You have an Xbox, right? Just go buy Halo 1, it's not expensive. Halo 1 Xbox is so much different than Halo PC, not technically, but there's just a certain "fun" factor involved. Anyway, for first timers off host on Xbox Connect, having played Halo PC is definitely an advantage, but still, there are some "feel" issues to be worked out. For example, on Halo PC, all the delay (due to latency) is server side, basically meaning (without getting technical) that all the latency is converted into leading shots. On Halo Xbox, it feels like delay is split between two different things. Obviously, you have to lead your shots (about half as much), but there is a delay between when you hit a button on your controller, and when it happens on the screen. It takes a while to get used to.
If you try to lead your shots on Xbox LAN the way you do with Halo PC online, though, you're going to suck. On LAN/split screen, you only have to lead your shots a tiny bit.
