i have always thought this would be my favourite idea, sincei first played halo2 through.

In the level Metropolis, the sarge mentions something about training simulations.

I want halo3 to start a while after we left of.

You start playing and all this crazy blam happens, and you dont know what the hell is going on, like there are covenant coming out of everywhere, and all this different objectives are flying at you.

and then it goes to a mini movie where the chief dies.

Then everything goes all pixely and we cut to the chief walking out of a simulator with johnson and some other marines.

And maybe we can do stuff like weve always wanted to do like drive the scarab in the simulator.

I dont know about u but this would be my ideal first level

Please comment on what u think

Interesting idea, but how would it tie in with the rest of the game? I don't see how it wouldn't be completely random and out of place.

Cheif is at the Forerunner ship!

How the -blam!- does he manage to get to some simulator, and get Johnsenn(who is on Delta Halo) to the said simulator, and begin this simulation?

Sorry, but the way the story is going, your idea is Ludcrious.

It wouldnt be bad without Halo 2s cliffhanger.

Yeah, that wouldn't really work. Try the start of the second level: he gets out of his vehicle that just crashed. Look at the second level in the first game: He's getting out of his crashed pod. Look at the second (real) level in Halo 2: he's getting out of a crashed Pelican. This time it can be a huge Forerunner ship! He's really moving up in life.

alright stop
everyone keeps saying about the crashed forerunner ship!!!
why the hell would it crash!!
Its huge!!!!
I doubt earths defences would be able to take it down
And the covenants best pilots are probably working on it!!!!!!!

I doubt it's going to crash. That ship has significance, methinks.

For one, it's gigantic, not to mention-an advanced race as the Forerunner probably don't crash their ships that often. An assault carrier is tiny compared to it. The Covenant won't fire on the ship because Truth is aboard it, the Elites don't know what's going on, and the UNSC won't fire on it either because MC's aboard it. And I'm willing to bet neither Truth nor the Brutes are piloting it.

If it somehow crashes, then another blanket of metropolis is going to be wiped off the face of the Earth like a finger going across a dusty surface.
