I brought this up earlier and I plan on doing it a lot more. I have not seen any sound evidence that H2 is going to be split screen. I may be worrying over nothing, and I hope so, but the trend in games to be one player per xbox is scarry. The most fun thing about halo is lan parties and I don't know anyone that has 16 tvs or the room for them. I know someone that bought a couple of extra tvs for lan parties and everyone thought that was awesome and going out of his way. Bungie please make sure that you can still play 4 people to a box in mp. Not everyone has broadband and a lot of us who do don't have enough upload for large games. ISPs trend to keep the uploads down to 250. Maybe if we make ebough noise we will either be told in a weekly update that it is split screen or, worst case scenario, they will change the current version to handle split screen.

It will obviously support split-screen. They just used single screen lan connections at E3 for sheer ease.

There was a BBC article confirming 16 player system link, and a maximum of 64 players. Of course, yeroen could have been lying ;-)

How is it obvious? Because you assume? And as far as the 16 players that could mean 16 boxes. If anyone has any hard proof please let me know. It would put my mind to rest.

For hard proof, read the weekly update.

i was just gonna ask this but im sure bungie has that covered. Im sure bungie knows that not every one has sixteen tv's and enough of the rest of the equipment to do lan parties. Xbox live is great and all that but u dont get the same effect as u do with LAN parties: all the screaming and trash talk. Hopefully Bungie will give us an update to put our minds at ease because i have notived the disturbing trend of most live games (except for some racing games and a FEW other games) losing the split-screen option therefore rendering LAN parties useless. My house is barely big enough to fit 4 tv's let alone 16!!

Does anyone read around here. Have a search on bbc.co.uk/news for Halo 2 and you'll find the article. 16 Xboxes * 4 players on each = 64 player bliss

The article doesn't say anything but assumption. They both say you can link 16 boxes. For the wise guy wha asked if anyone reads, we all do, just some of you read what you want into stuff. There's nothing hard there yet. If so quote it.
