Come on guys....What's going on???We are all Halo fans, we shouldn't have disagreements about the M6D pistol....Bungie guys will do what is best for us.I trusted them for halo 2 and they didn't dissappoint me.I'll trust them for Halo 3 as well.

But, I would also like to make a recommendation and ask your opinion.
You have all realised, that when you play Halo on different difficulties the only thing that changes is the way you're getting killed...I mean that, as the difficulty rises from Easy to Normal to Heroic and to Legendary, such does your shield weaken...I think that the real change should be the way your enemy think and fight...WHAT DO YOU SAY?

I agree, the difficulties in Halo 2 focussed too much on strengthening the enemies' weapons and weakening your shields rather than making the enemies smarter.

Changes to the difficulties I think they should make:
- make it so that BOTH players need to die in order to go the last checkpoint in legendary
- make heroic easier so that it's more accessible and fair like H1's heroic
- make the enemy's strength and endurance roughly the same for each difficulty, just make them take cover more often and fire their weapons more rapidly (but not so rapidly to the point of being improbable like in Halo 2) on the higher ones
- make enemies (and allies) have to reload or pace the firing of plasma weapons so they won't overheat (that was SO annoying in Halo 2 when Elites would literally fire forever).

You face an opponent who has never known defeat, who laughs in foreign tongues at your efforts to survive. This is Reply suicide.

Yeah... make the AI better for higher difficulties, not stronger.

I was tired of dying in 3 hits from a Plasma Rifle. ANNOYING.

Also sick of Grunts being able to throw MORE than four grenades.

Oh yes...

I hate the Halo 1 Pistol. We need a combination of H1 and H2 Pistols. It shouldn't even be in the poll. It's just there to take up space and make you look stupid, apparantly...

Smarter and better AI, not stronger.

Perhaps increase the amount of punishment they can take before going down. But I don't like dying it 3 to 5 hits or four carbine rounds...

I'm also sick of the Snipers being able to barely get a peek of you before you even know where they are (or even find a good place to get a shot off at them, a la Sniper's Alley) and killing you over and over and over again. Luckily, I found a multitude of ways to avoid these Sniper havens in Halo 2, so it wasn't much of a problem. But avoiding snipers instead of killing them is hardly fun. Especially when you have to get on top of the stage to do it.

In other words, Halo's version of difficulties. In halo 2, all that happened was your enemies got stronger weapons and they didnt die as easy. In Halo 1, your enemy got smarter, much more numerous, and you met with much higher class elites. They werent impossible to kill either. Their health only went up slightly, it was the way they fought, much less afraid of you and much more coordinated, that made them so much more deadly.

In Halo 2, the grunts and Elites just shoot where they last saw you. In Halo 1, they only shoot at you, and they did it well. They had strategic formations and positions on maps. Where Halo 2 just sent waves at you.

The truth is, the enemies do get somewhat smarter as you raise the bar in Halo. The player's shield weakens, but the rate of fire from your enemies is virtually doubled, not to mention their numbers and agility. What I think they should do is make the npc much more agile, and strengthen your shields a bit. On Legendary, you will find yourself dead way too often because of the shield's low recovery rate, and how fast it goes down.
