Well ok, first, lets go back to before halo2 was released. When we saw all those cool little teasers. One in particular was the one where master cheif was going down the elevator bla bla and jumped out the ship. We all saw this scene in halo 2 but instead, master chief had a bomb he was carrying to destroy a covenant ship. He didnt have the bomb in the teaser.

So maybe the teaser that we have all seen for Halo3 has something totally different going on. Im willing to bet if that teaser shows up in halo 3 that

a. cortana will be removed
b. something totally different will happen

Clearly the bright beam isnt dangerous if hundreds of covenant ships are heading towards it...lol that would be freaken suicide....especially for something that massive.

What the light could simply be is just.... a bright light to something shiny under that forerunner structure.../ark......

opinions?

Ever see the behind the scenes documentary? If you didn't, and even if you did, this thread is retarded.

"Thoughts are the shadows of feelings; always darker, emptier, and simpler."

Well, you are wrong. The light IS dangerous. At the end you can see the 2 carriers pulling away from it.

hey hey hey. in halo2 teaser it wazn't that different than the game. I mean u're sayinging like there's no cortana. If the trailer didn't have Cortana, it would be boring. Cortana made the trailer awsome and mysterious.

yah, i doubt that the body of the teaser (the 2 mins or so before the big thing opening), just like the halo2 teaser. But the big machine opening and bright light seems to be to much of story based scene to be created for the heck of it. that things definetly gonna be in H3

I agree, the trailer from Halo 2 was very very different. The background chatter from the military commanders made it sound like they were being ripped apart and needed help.

Then Cortana cuts in telling them help is on the way which leads you to believe that the Chief is going to perform a boarding action by throwing himself out an airlock. Then he's going to use his magnetic boots to walk over to a Covenant airlock and blow his way in.

This would have been a much cooler cut-scene then him riding a bomb. The finalized cut-scene made it look like the Chief depended entirely on luck. That he is indeed, not particularly skilled but a moron taking a futile chance when I have a better chance of winning the lottery then he has of a UNSC ship taking a shot for him, then having some longswords happen by to help him out.

After all, in the radio chatter the UNSC made it clear that their ships couldn't even penetrate the hull and yet now, suddenly two measly little longswords crack a huge hole in the side of the ship wide enough to put a small sports stadium through...

I disagree... It wasn't luck more of skill! Never say John takes moron chances, He is the best of the best!

In Halo 2 they are making a "JUMP" inside the city... In the map called METROPOLIS...
If that thing is dangerous why dont they make a "JUMP" before the thing is launching...
But if the thing is a HALO they will die anyway...
I dont think its dangerous... Look at MASTER CHIEF he is walking that mean he is not in a hurry... that thing is supposed to launch... maybe its a shield...or maybe we all going to die... :-) heh...
