I was thinking that on xbox live, when people join your party, before they get into the game they can read something you typed for them to read as like a warning before the game starts for them. I'm not sure if I'm choosing the best way to express what I'm saying, but an example is like you're playing a game, but you're just looking around and not killing, and you want other people to know before they get in the game so for a pregame message it would say "no killing" or somehitng like that. Or maybe if you're playing a game type not very familiar with everyone, you can type a brief description of what it is. I think this would be a good idea. So what do you guys think?

You should of made up your own instrument. You could have named it the PolarLighting -a-phone. People would buy it and they would all be like "Awh, He's so cool for inventing the PolarLighting-a-phone."

Pretty good idea actually. You could also give them friendly reminders to join the out-numbered team =)

Like playing a "Glitches" game , you might want to tell people that you are not killing before they start to screw your game, or something like "you kill, you're booted"

Really good Idea.

Like some sort of "Message of The Day"? That'd be sweet. You could also use it for "Welcome to my lobby! Enjoy yourself!"

didn't they have that in Halo CE? It was sweet joining a server and seeing a pregame message, server rules, and game type info.

Yeah but it was kinda anoying cause it took the whole screen and you couldn't see nothing.

I'm sure fans of zombies would've loved this to be in Halo 2, but I'm sure Halo 3 players will come up with over custom gametypes that require additional rules so this would work well.

I'd like to save descriptions of the gametype.
So if its something like Zombies.
You could save some instructions that people can read while either paused. Or while in the Pregame Lobby. So that the Host or other players don't have to repeat themselves.

Like I said, a MOTD (Message of The Day). That'd actually be a really amazing feature. Especially since the 360 supports keyboards, it could be a breeze.

ya now that i think of it, it when you make your own gametypes there should be another section for "Pregame Messages" or somthing where you would put it in and it would be saved. This would workout nicely.

They should do that. Because when people join a game they start killing you but were like doing swat and they dont know squat.
