i notice while playing halo & halo 2 that you can 'steer', to some degree, while in the air after a jump. i would hope that bungie would give this some attention. it may not be a big deal, but it does affect gameplay negatively, imo. i especially hate it when someone's coming at you with a sword, and when they jump in the air i feel like i want to close-in and 'go for it' because he's in the air for a second or so- but, they have some magical push-off while in mid-air and can still do the uber slash from a distance.
thanks.

It's the MCm, he can do whatever he wants in the air.

And yeah, Opey could probably win that game without using his BR. Best SMG user in Halo.

I don't like the sudden thrust and the fact you can , say, jump while holding left but then kinda angle back right. meh w/e, no big deal is right.

How about falling from a pelican several hundreds of feet in the air, maybe make yourself fall like a parachutest would and maybe make it so you can control your movements.

Technically, it's called "Air Control".

1) Games must have some sort of air control, due to the fact that you can't be as precise in a video as you could in real life. You'd miss a load more jumps if it weren't for slight air control.
2) Your complaint isn't about air control.. It's about the sword's ability to lunge in mid-air. Completely different thing.

That is a very shallow preception of a persons knowledge of Halo or any other Bungie game. A person could have created a new member ID or as in my case have been a member for years already but when asked to update your profile, your "member since" status changes to the day the profile was updated. Why? I don't know, maybe a glitch.

no, i didn't 'just' notice. it's bothered me for some time- but, only lately i've encountered it enough to warrant bringing it up here. i said i know it's no big deal, but it can be bothersome. if bungie is making some fantastic physics engine- it would be nice if they addressed this. i was not just talking about steering in the air, and i was not just complaining about the sword, i was talking about mid air physics, and how the physics' imperfections effect both. if someone is able to lock on and lunge attack, fine- i just think they should have the natural physics weakness of not being able to lunge while in the air- no 'magical push-off'.
*&%$, i knew i'd get flamed some, but i didn't know the flames would be so baseless and suck.
btw, i've been on the forums at bungie since late 2k, i've only recently changed my profile due to a new computer and isp, etc. good grief. lighten up.

Well, basically when you jump in Mid-Air, you still have energy behind you...noting that it there is gravity...unless something collided with you...the person should still be able to continue somewhat in the same direction...
