I enjoy a good game of assault, but I am puzzled as to why I am bringing this bomb into some random area and blow myself up. I think that there should actually be bases that you blow up, and that actually blow up. I don't care if its all the same animation, but if the round and map resets anyways, I don't see any reason not to add it.

I agree, there could be some coolness involved, if it weren't for this little gametype option: "Reset map on round". (Or something along the lines of)

Yeah that would be pretty cool to see debris from the base flying all over the map from the explosion.

what about the assualt games that dont reset?

Exactly, Like Neutral Bombs with a 3 bomb round limit.
But I would like to see the Bomb do something the the Level.
If not atleast temporary.

How ever many bombs you can carry into the base in 1 round should be how many times it can blow up with differnt amounts of damage so the base just eventually is nothing and the round automatically resets itself just for assult.

Then you could.. But this would require some extensive programming, to say "When it's this gametype, it's destructable and only under these rules." Of course, Bungie could pull it off if they believe it's an important part of the game.

I would like to see realistic targets that you would have to bomb and destroy, like a fighter jet in a hanger, or a communications bunker, or how about a scarab? I like this idea.

I'd like to see Bungie make some more destructibility on the Bases.
So the Walls could be similar to the Pillars in Zanzibar's defending base.

Obviously nothing as extreme as Red Faction. But Maybe the Bomb could Do some to its surrounding. But nothing that would blow up a wall or affect gameplay.

It would be cool. It would definately maximize realism and all that. I had always wanted it, but the bombed base would provide no cover except for some debris from the structure. Also, it would be very odd to see the base reappear again. If it didn't, then the "bombee" would have a significant disadvantage.

As the poster above me has said (sorry, I forgot your screename), it would be cool if it affected gameplay. For example, parts of the structure would slant from lack of support, and the base would be easier to penetrate from that angle.

The base would reset once the round was over, and for neutral bomb game types, it would take three bombs to blow it up. I just would like some realistic targets to be bombing, not just the main spawn point. Why exactly do I want to blow up some random room that has nothing or no one in it?

But if the round ends once bombed, then you won't see the rubble and all that. It should happen in a bomb gametype when there are no rounds, but the game is 12 mintues. I'm honestly not sure how it would work.

Yes you could, they could tack on a little cinematic, or just let the round last another 5 seconds so you would be able to see it. Or just have the targets not be entire buildings. Make them something like a scarab, pelican, or any other small target that couldnt be taken out by small arms fire. Basicly, I just want some justification to the bombing. For instance, What exactly am I bombing in Gemini? A tree?

I just thought of a cool game type, ok hear me out on this, how about if you played one round of neutral bomb assault with the bomb starting neutral and two (or maybe even 4) teams fighting to go and plant that bomb in another team's base, now after the bomb is planted then a huge explosion occurs killing anyone nearby and demolishing any nearby buildings and vehicles and scarring the landscape, and from there on out it continues as Slayer :) may be confusing but it sure would be a fun game type IMO.

Oh and I'm definitely down for destructible bases.

You could have a gametype where you have a series of structures, and you have to take out a Scarab(s) that are destroying the buildings. With all the rubble, it would sought of be like CoD, but oh well. You would then have to use rockets or get ontop of it and kill all of the dudes inside, and then you take it over and tell the Covenant who sent it that payback is a b*tch.

You have a point, abe. It would be cool, though to have cosmetic or affecting damage.
