"A woman is more like a beer. They look good, they smell good and you'd step over your own mother just to get one!" -Homer Simpson-

I was thinking about the theory that Humans may have been slaves of the Forerunner which is why the Covenant are so disgusted with them. But I was thinking maybe, if the Humans and Forerunner are truly related to each other, that maybe it was the Humans that came up with the idea to destroy all sentient life in the Universe. I thought of this when playing Halo 1. The Grunts would call the MC "Devil" and in Halo 2 they call him "Demon". Both names are evil ones. The fact that they believe the Halos will send them to the Forerunner is a hint also. Perhaps they know Humans were the ones who came up with that idea and killed off there gods and now they are doing the same thing thinking that they will meet them.

I believe they call him "Demon" and "Devil" because he has killed thousands of Covenant troops. The Humans have unleashed this "beast" upon them, that is basically hindering their goal for salvation. (From their view point, of course.)

Interesting.

But Forerunners Lived WAY back before the Humans Existed.
And The Covies don't know(Maybe the prophets do) that the Halos will kill them.

Not necessarily true.. We can't tell that for certain, as far as the fiction goes. We could be the anscestors of Forerunner, who showed up on Earth and "Began humanity". Maybe some leftover Forerunner, without technology and barely alive managed to survive on Earth.

I always thought that the Humans are the Forerunners, idea-wise.

if the humans killed the forerunner, what did the flood kill?

The Flood didn't wipe out anybody. The idea is that the Forerunner activated the Halos because it was a last ditch effort. They had lost the war because they gave up.

hmmmm but didnt Guilty Sparks say that the flood was what was wiping out the forerunner? remember this quote:

GS: "After exhausting every strategical option, my creators activated the rings. They, and all additional sentient life within 3 radii of the galactic center, died......as planned"

Well yeah that's what I meant. They exhausted every way they could think of to combat the flood and figured the best way to stop them was to kill themselves.
