"Little is known about the Sharquoi, as the Covenant have referred to them. It is theorized that it may be an as-of-yet unencountered Covenant client race."

I think that they will be used in H3 wether as a boss/mini-boss or just a better troop because it also says that they work best in close quarters combat. O and also the Drinol was a scrapped idea that i think is seperate from the Sharquoi. But I really want to have an epic battle with one of those!!!

Have you seen the dcoumentary in HD yet? That should tell you what the new creatures look like and tell you wheather these new creatures are the Sharquoi or not.

Maybe it's the Covenant name for the Prophets.

Halo 3: Collapse
Chapter 20, Revelations, is up (update 11-14-10)
The Mirratord

Ω

I don't subscribe to the theory that they are the same as the Drinniol, for the sole reason that Drinniol is the Covenant name for the species. From the conversation, it sounded like the Sharquoi (possibly plural, possibly singular) had not been previously used, as if they could be used only in certain situations. If they were the drinniol, why couldn't they have been used in any situation where the Covenant faced human vehicles, on any planet? Why would they, alone, among every species in the Covenant, have two different names? I like the idea of it being the name of the Forerunner ship, but it doesn't seem to fit into the formula of names the Covenant uses for their vessels IE Begotten Angel, Pious Inquisitor, Truth and Reconciliation, etc. What I think they are is a special group of assassins that were saved in reserve to be deployed on Earth and eliminate the UNSC's leadership.

Now in the booklet of Conversations from the Universe that came from the special edition Halo 2, Two elites mention about using a certain "Sharquoi", a new vehicle, race, or gun? Anyone else see this??

Personally I agree with most theories that say the Sharquoi is like the Drinol.... however I once heard an interesting theory that the Sharquoi could be a team of special ops elites or something like that. I find the latter theory very unlikely though.

I like the idea of the Sharquoi being assasins that would be kinda cool, like they would move really fast and be really hard to kill maybe could be a boss battle?

Really? Well i guess it makes sense because driniol was never added in halo2, But maybe it will be the new "hunter" for the prophet of truth's army
