I really dont think everyone is going to die in the third Halo, it just doesnt strike me as Bungie's way. An interesting thing i have noticed though is that there are dormant flood on every forerunner instalation, right? Both halos, the hanging gas factory thing, so why are they not on earth? We can pretty much assume that the ark is on earth under the african desert (see trailer), but there are no flood, why? Is the earth some kind of safe zone where the flood never have gotten too? Or is it, *gasp* a safe zone where nothing dies? Think about it, Master Chief is always refered too by the forerunner technology as "The Reclaimer" and guilty spark refers to "Last time you asked me, if it were my choice, would I do it? Having had considerable time to ponder your querey, my answer has not changed. " Is guilty spark refering to the forerunner that previously activated the ring? I think so, so thus i also believe that humans are the decendants of the forerunners. Now, for that to happen, some forerunners must have survived on earth to populate it. Maybe they were the original inhabitants of Atlantis, ok ok, the atlantis part is a stretch. But anyway, why didnt these forerunners die? How did they live to populate earth and ready their offspring to defend the earth and the ark? If you think about it there is only one explanation, earth is safe somehow, or at least a part of the earth is. Protective shield maybe? Who knows, we will just have to wait and see. But of course i could be wrong, it could end with master chief activating the halos, but for some reason, after he has spent two games stopping them from being activated, i dont see bungie having him do that. Thats just me though, what do you think?
