Subject: Master Chief Violated the Cole Protocol

"Or maybe it's a key all the time, and when you stick it in people, it unlocks their death." - Caboose

Master Chief leaves Cortana on an alien ship/base in the clutches of an alien intelligence. That act directly violates the UNSC Cole Protocol. Also, the In Amber Clad was left there as well. Both of these items have strategic and other important military coordinates and secrets. When chief returns to Earth and Oni realizes this, he could be court marshalled, or worse. Is the chief in the trailer unescorted by any marines or vehicles because he is an outcast defender of earth? Could he be running from human authorities and also the covenant and flood? In the other two games chief is often accompanied or runs into other marines or allies. Might that not be the case in Halo 3? Could chief be in some serious trouble?

And what will they do to him? kill off the best chance for earth's survival? send him on a suicide mission? I see your point though.

The cole protocol was supposed to hide the location of earth... they already found it so its pretty much useless.

the cole protocol was so that the covenant wouldnt fine earth i think... im pretty sure... they already found it. but i know what you're saying about there being technology but i doubt he would be in trouble because from what we know so far there may be no government to punish him

You're correct, but the Cole Protocol was only designed to stop the Covenant from figuring out the location of Earth. Since that has already been found out by the Covenant there is no purpose as to following it. And I also believe they give more leniancy to "Smart" AI since they are supposed to be adaptable and mostly think on their own.

They didn't tell us what it was it could have been anything. Frankie gets scared easy incase you didn't know.

-BH-

Been here 6 years, been blacklisted 6 times, that's why I'm not Mythic.

Yeah, because the Covies found the location of Earth, it wasn't important. And also, I'm pretty sure Commander Keyes wiped the NAV database.

Actually, In Amber Clad's reactors were NOT redlined to explode. That would've destroyed Halo. DOes anyone pay attention playing this game? Jeez

I'd love to be a 10 year old and tell my mom I'm going on an adventure out into the world catching Pokemon, with her full support. Never mind the fact that there are rapists, criminals, and murders out there, or the fact that I may get killed by a Pokemon.

Luckily I have Pikachu.

I know, it's lke nobody even watched the end Cinema scene.

The humans no longer have to follow The Cole proticol due to the fact that the Covenant know Earths location.

ONI has already tried to kill Master Chief. Also, what good is following the Cole Protocol if humanity is destroyed? Master Chief is in a position to break rules to save the human race. This also isn't the first time MC has left Cortana

When you say ONI tried to kill the MC you mean "Ackerson" right?

Ackerson was basically the "leader" behind stopping MC. But, there are others in ONI who more or less don't like MC.

Go to your room!

...Well I'm glad that worked, because those would have been terrible last words.

Master Chief violated who?

Gravemind probably allready knows the location of Earth... from Regret.

Exactly. Earth was discovered, therefore the Cole Protocol is useless.

ONI are really closed minded, it's just an idea, but it is possible for them to try and blame him for the violation. If enough of them disapprove of Halsey, then we might, MIGHT, see her lifes work disgraced.

Also, Regrets fleet of fifteen ships found earth so the covenant know of its whereabouts yes, but Gravemind found Regret and has control of Regret. My opinions of the prophets is that they wouldnt know the coordinates and instead would charge their elite piolots with that knowledge. Regret probabley doesnt know the coordinates. And if you remem, ber Keyes, the flood need to find hosts with knowledge on how to run things, unless they find something with the coordinates then they have nothing. Thus, Cortanas capture is still a violation. She also knows much more then just the whereabouts of earth, she knows how to infiltrate everything, she knows tons about the Halos, and she knows every strategy the humans have. True she can destroy In Amber Clad, but if she is trully under the influence of Gravemind, will she?

I dont know, its just a fun idea, i get bored at work a lot and come up with this stuff to fill time, enjoy!

The Cole Protocol was to make sure the Covenant didn't find Earth, but it also says that capture of a UNSC AI is unacceptable. But then again it was Cortana's choice to stay on High Charity.
