Alright, antimatter is a very potent substance. According to equations (E=mc^2), one gram of matter (or antimatter) contains the same amount of energy as a nuclear bomb with a 20 kiloton yield. That is the equivalent of a Hiroshima bomb. The Hiroshima bomb leveled approxomately 5 city blocks with the fireball, and many, many more buildings with the shock waves (primary and secondary).
Anyway, when antimatter combines (or even comes in contact with) matter, including air particles, it turns into pure energy. For that reason, you need to contain it in a magnetic field of some sort, or have is suspended in a vacuum. And again, as it has already been said many times here, it costs a lot of money to create even a molecule of antimatter. In fact, we have only created this substance in extremely small amounts, on the order of protons. And even then, we cannot contain it, so it just annihilates instantly. An antimatter gun would be too complicated, would cost too much, and wouldn't be anymore effective than the guns we have now.
So, this idea isn't very plausible. It just doesn't make much sense.
