"Whatever exists, whatever in creation exists without my knowledge exists without my consent. These anonymous creatures may seem little or nothing in the world. Yet the smallest crumb can devour us. Any smallest thing beneath yon rock out of men's knowing. Only nature can enslave man and only when the existence of each last entity is routed out and made to stand naked before him will he be properly suzerain of the earth."

I know that lots of times people will ask questions they should know the answer to. Or, other times someone will make a comment that just makes no sense. Or, some people, maybe people like me, maybe not, might comment about Frankie's baldness, whether that's really a fair thing to do or not.
And you always confuse me.
* This is a forum, not an encyclopedia, thus asking redundant questions is useful. For every newbie that asks a simple question there are likely 10 other newbies that benefit from the answer.
Good point, except that redundant questions don't need to be asked every 3 hours. Difference between threads that come up every 10 minutes, and threads that come up once a day.
* Games need playtesters, threads need critics. No lawyer would go into court without having first run his arguments against someone who was playing Devil's advocate. A thread might not be a multizillion dollar litigation. But still, we need to ask questions and make counter arguments to refine points.
I fail to see where this comes from. If someone makes a point, there is a counterpoint. That's common sense. People who don't like people refuting their point just don't like the possibility of being wrong.
* Humans learn from the mistakes of others. Ideally a newbie would learn and understand things like where and what to post by reading the rules. But, it's actually easier for them to learn through experience, even when those experiences are third person.
"'Tis better to profit from a horrible experience than to be one."
If only the ideal worked more often than it does...
* We are here to be entertained. In some way a forum is entertaining to us. Otherwise we wouldn't be here. Entertainment often has an edge to it. But is that edge funny or just disturbing? The Waaaahmbulance might be more edgy than funny if not for the fact that those in the Waaahmbulance can reply in their defense and say, "well maibe i cant' spill but at leect im not bawld."
I don't get it. Is this supposed to be about the threads complaining about the Waaahmbulance? Of course people are going to complain. There are always going to be people who don't like something for a reason. That's life. Hell, I wrote a paper on it.
