No.

I can hardly play Halo PC or CE due to the exceptions. Can anyone help me here? If you really need me to, I will post the info from the dxdiag tool showing my computer's specs.

Also, I have never moddified any maps (Or anything else in the game for that matter). I have tried all of the help sections on halomaps.org and the microsoft website and still the problem continues.

And, yes, I have the 1.07 patch.

Exception Data Error occurs when something doesn't "click" in Halo. Usually it's caused by incompatibility between a component in your hardware and the software that calls upon it (in this case, Halo.) Update your GPU drivers and soundcard drivers. Next, reinstall Halo, since the other half of all GED errors occur when you've got a corrupted map or missing file somewhere along the line.

No.

I know what an exception in the game is. The thing that I'm not sure about are the GPU drivers and the soundcard drivers. I don't know what a GPU driver is and I don't recall buying a soundcard (I'm sure my motherboard came with a build in one or something...). And on top of that, I wouldn't know how to update them :\

By the way, it is a custom build computer so that could have something to do with it.

Hrm. You custom-built your computer but don't know how to update the driver?

Ohh...someone else built it for you, no?

Update the drivers by going to the website that makes the GPU (graphics processor unit), selecting your model, downloading and installing the new driver for your product. Repeat for other components of your comptuer if need be.

No.

Actually, I did build the computer myself o.O

The GPU thing was confusing to me because I normally call them graphic cards.

If everything else fails, use a leaf blower.

Ah, ty kim. A failsafe solution around here.

GPU is the Graphics Processor Unit. It's a more official (and less lengthy) way of saying Graphics card. *shrugs* Might have a PPU someday (physics processor unit) ^_^

Well seeing as how I haven't gotten a GED since I updated the graphic drivers, I think it's ok now.

Only one thing...

See all of that pink stuff? It was there before I updated the GPU drivers only it wasn't as big and it was black. It was sometimes useful in games since it would let me know things are coming. Only now it's pink and more annoying :\

You mean that's...a shadow?

Um...you've already updated the drivers, so I don't know what to tell you. But that looks seriously fscked up there. So not supposed to be there.

Maybe it's your actual, physical screen? Refresh it and reset it, see if that helps. Otherwise, try un/reinstalling Halo?

No.

Just refreshed it and it's still there. Also, I have reinstalled the game before and the lines were still there. It isn't exactly a problem, it in no way harms game play. If it does anything, it lets me see around the corners :P Also lets me see where items are easier.
