Alright, I can't get my halo to start. When I tried to start it, I got something along the lines of "cannot allocate required memory, Some other application has loaded where halo needs to be located", even though the only things running were Halo and the internet. I then reinstalled my game, and now I get gathering exception data errors. The same thing also happens when I try to start CE. Also, the rest of my games work fine.

So, anybody have any idea what's going on?

And also, my idiot sister downloaded some "websurfersidekick" (read: -blam!-loads of popups), and I think that that is the problem.....

Try uninstalling everything that was installed around the time she did that. I think you can sort the program list by date installed. Run virus scan and ad ware remover if you have them.

NONONO. Okay, Surfsidekick is a pain in the @ss. I had a helluva time getting off my computer. PM me about this problem and I'll get you a program called hijackthis. It analyses all your processes and let's you delete them from there. It also saves a log file. This way other people can see what's runnign and needs to be removed. Surfsidekick is so tricky to remove... I'll have to look back to see what I did...

Stupid parents let their stupid children play games that are rated M when they should be playing Big Birds Spelling Adventures

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

First, run the tool here. Click on "Protection Scan".

If that doesn't work, then read and do this.

Edit: download and install this after it is removed. MS Defender works wonders.

yup, I had this problem. Run a full system scan with whatever anti-virus software you have, and scan with a spyware remover, too. If you dont have these, get Ewido Security Suite demo for the first and Spybot Search And Destroy for the second. This solved the problem for me, I even think I had the same virus/spyware you mentioned above on my computer when I scanned it. Should make you able to play halo again.
