Not saying there is any truth to this, but I heard some rumors, and it sounds good. Like, for example, there is going to be a boat vehicle, ATV, pelican available for campaign, flamethrower, You can pick up objects, you can use jackal sheilds, you can peek over corners and bend around corners, plant traps, give your marines orders, (Sounding a bit TOO much like a real war game) online co-op, bots, and maybe one or two other things that I forget. Know it's not true, probably, but sounds pretty sweet if that ever happened.

Just a friend of mine, a source of much information, most of it pulled fresh out of his ass, but still sounds pretty cool if even one of those things are true.

No it wouldn't. It really pissed me off though when we couldn't peek around corners. They need to add a whole new "Feel" to Halo 3. I hope they do something that makes it feel completely alien.

Uhh....those ideas are older than my mom. And there stands a good chance that you made them up and blamed them on your imaginary "friend." And wasn't the whole "fly the pelican thing" in the latest xbox magazine? Yes.
Peaking around corners would be lame because that would make it too much of a third person shooter, and I cant think of anything worse.
It sounds to me like you want something more like BF, not the fast paced, intence game called Halo.

The whole approach for the halo games is fast paced action. The designers want the battles moving fast. Peeking around corners would slow the fighting down alot. Also if you took the time to stand in a doorway and peek around the corner to shoot at someone they'd bounce about 5 grenades right into your pants. You want a whole new feel? Cause it would take alot of changes to make the leaning around corners work. I think it would be a mistake to make it too foreign.

Mendicant Bias: Someone set us up the Halo. We get signal.

Medicant Bias: Main screen turn on.
Gravemind: It's you!
Offensive Bias: How are you, Enemy? All your base are belong to Forerunner. You are on the way to destruction.
Gravemind: What you say?!
Offensive Bias: You have no chance to survive, make your time. Ha ha ha.

Peeking around corners, would be a pretty cool idea in my opinion. Perfect Dark Zerp had it, and the battles were still fast paced. And Call of Duty: Finest Hour had something it, and it was still in first person. I mean, if your marines could do it, why couldn't you? You could just lean your body to one side. So that you can get a quick view of the battlefield without completely exposing yourselves, and getting sniped by a -blam!- jackal.

this reminds me of Amped 2, and it's next gen follow-up Amped 3.

Amped 2 was awesome. Then they noobified it and made it some stupid fantasy on lsd.

Those rumors would be Halo's equivalent.

Third person game ?. How do ya work that out mate. Leaning can be done from the first person perspective you know. Just because PDZ does it from 3rd person doesn’t mean every game does it that way. Also I can think of much worse, like a carbon copy of Halo 2 gameplay which wasn’t as good as Halo 1. We are on a next generation console now. I really hope we get a next gen game to match. Im not saying that leaning is a next gen feature, I’m just saying that I hope H3 doesn’t fall into the doom or quake way of games design. Those game have hardly evolved at all gameplay wise over the years.

COD 1&2 on PC both have leaning and are both fast paced games. Also by the time said grenade thrower had worked out were shots where coming from he would be dead with an accurate shot to the head from sensible player actually taking cover.

I heard on the internet that Master Chief will be able to fly and shoot bees out of his mouth that shoot lasers out of their eyes and the lasers make people explode if they are not already dead seeing the awesomeness of Master Chief flying and shooting bees out of his mouth that shoot lasers out of their eyes. It's got to be true, because the internet is always a source for valid information. ;-)

I love the speculation that goes on prior to release of a game. Some are out of left field, and other make sense. What I don't like is when people claim them to be true because they had read it somewhere on the internet (the thread creator at least admitted that these could be complete crap).
