Man invented language to satisfy his deep need to complain

I can just picture Mechalord reading his post to a group of Halo fans at GameStop in real life: loud, halting speech, his pimpled face turning red with anger at weak noobs, wildly gesticulating and banging the counter to drive his point home, stroking his tiny teen mustache like Halo Hitler. You need a girlfriend buddy.

the Braveheart tactic, where like a bunch of elites and maybe even hunters pull down their armor or whatever and moon you

Maybe you could give Marines orders? Take cover there, Suppressive fire, cover me! stuff like that with the d pad?

A mythic member but I speak my mind to much.

But Jackals don't have 20 foot long spears. And wouldn't grunts have to be on a horse to do a pincer manuver. What ever.

I'd like to see the Covie utilize their abliliys. like have the Jackals act as a protective shield for grunts behind them throwing granades. Elites are fast but you never see them chaseing MC unless they have a sword. Halo 3 should give them a more offencive twist were they will come up to you just to pound your face in close combat. The Drones should fight with the other covenant giving air support. Hunters should not fight alone they shold be paired up with elites providing cover for them. And Bungie should look at the game Fear because thats how the enemies should fight.

Halo 3: Collapse
Chapter 20, Revelations, is up (update 11-14-10)
The Mirratord

Covenant AI needs to be more aggressive. On Legendary in Cairo Station, the elites from the boarding-craft could have crushed you at any moment if they hadn't elected to "wait for you to come to them" because there aren't any power weapons until you reach the Armory. All you had to do was hang tight and pick them off one-by-one because they would never be aggressive enough to charge you. Same as in Outskirts: they never move into the building that you're pinned down in. They shouldn't just sit there, taking cover while you pick them off one at a time. Their strategies are too conservative, and they always lose for that reason alone. I vote for more aggressive AI, even if only on Heroic and Legendary.

Very agreed.

I agree and disagree. A little more aggression would be nice, but if the Covie forces actually charged you, no one would have made it past the first level. I don't care how good you are. It sounds like you want them to play like real humans. If you're a 50 rank in multiplayer, you aren't going to be able to defeat 4 20 ranks if they are charging you unless you have Rocks. It just takes too much time to take someone down.

The AI I'd like to see is tactical AI that forces YOU to think more. As it stands, it's all about patience. If you're a half way decent shot, all you need is a little patience and you can go through legendary. Force us to think more. Don't turn it into a gauntlet.

I think by putting more actual tactics in the AI it would improve gameplay vastly...

Halo:CE, Were plenty of troops... but that was it. The most they did was stfae and look for cover.

Halo 2, The AI improved somewhat but made them less offensive, would mostly stay in there area and wait...

Halo 3 (hpoefully) The AI has tactics from actual history like, a phanlax or Blitzkreig ect...

That would be a devestating tactic for all those playing in France.

I want to see some old school Civil War tactics. Set up 2 sides, and just ran at each other. Slappers only.
