Yeah,Dell's desktops do suck bad, except for the XPS series desktops, those are good.

Whatever you do, do NOT buy an HP PC. Why?

I've done Tech Support for HP for a couple of years and the things I've heard and seen scare me.

I no longer do Tech Support, but I still work at HP and I know how they build their products.

Against my recommendations, my father bought an HP desktop not three weeks ago. He plugged it in, booted it up for the very first time and got an unregistered .dll error pop-up window immediately.

Please, for the love of everything that is Halo, do not buy an HP PC.

Printer? Yeah, go for it, HP smokes all.

PC? There's a reason why it's cheaper. You have to trust me.

The google on icecreamman!
LOLCANO!

...and the scariest thing was, it's true. Do a simple, unedited google on his name, then go to the second page.

Creepy.

As for McKeegan...hm...I've had an HP laptop for a while, it wasn't too terrible. Tech support from HP is nothing that special, I'll admit, and it performed well save for an irrepareable HD error about 3 or 4 years after purchase.

id go with the hp, but u could also use my pride and joy, its a half decent gaming notebook. the bottom is a slightly modified version for $2199. the stock version is $1900
[1] Aurora™ m9700

Processor: AMD Turion™ 64 Mobile ML34 1.8GHz 800MHz FSB 1MB L2 Cache upgrade

Hm...Quite frankly, I'm suprised that the specs on that computer are like that. I mean, 1.8 on an alienware? On such a high-end computer, I would've expected at least a 2.0 minimum. With the 1900 price tag, I woudl've expected at least a 2.2 or higher on the clockspeed.

I mean, not to make you feel bad or anything, but it looks like you got copped of your money. You could've gotten a much better deal with that much money had you gone to another brand. Don't get me wrong, Alienware usually gives you lots of bang for the buck, but in this case...the whole thing doesn't look like it's worth 1900.

here is what you do, get the dell e1705 when a $750 cupon comes around. you can get a 7900gs which owns both of those videocards.
