Plasma Pistol:
Should have a battery of 120%, charged shots drain 9% to 11% of energy. Rapid single shots should not be very powerful, but should have a SLIGHTLY higher rate of fire than the Plasma Rifle in-between shots if you can pull the trigger fast enough and should cause minor stuns (the stun should be greater if the tartget is low on health and has a downed shield). Charged shots should not be homing, instead they should just disable the shields and not stun, homing shots can only be done by aiming at the head of an Elite/Spartan with a downed shield so that the crosshair locks-on (like how it does in H2), the charged shot should then stun the target. Homing charged shots should drain 15% to 17% of energy.

Plasma Rifle:
Should have a battery of 120%, rate of fire increases dramatically as the weapon nears its overheating point, plasma bolts should not stun.

Brute Plasma Rifle:
Should have a battery of 100%, rate of fire decreases slightly as the weapon nears its overheating point, plasma bolts should burn through minor cover such as plants and foliage

Fuel Rod Gun:
I'm talking about the Halo PC version here. Should have a battery of 75%, overheating rate should be left the way it is, fuel rod bolts are extremely devastating but the longer they have to travel then the bolt should thin away, yet still retain same amount of inflicting damage. Rapid-firing immediately after the weapon begins to cool down should result in its self-destruction.

Energy Sword:
Should have a battery of 80%, the ability to lunge should be removed and instead be replaced with the ability to turn it on and off, leaving it on slowly drains the sword's energy source. Energy drainage should be the same as the drainage from using normal strikes in H2, when attacking it should be like this:

Step 1 - Downward swing dealing minor shield damage followed by rising swing if target still has the crosshairs on red

Step 2 - After Step 1 has been done successively, a lunging outward swipe (left to right) should follow (by lunging, I mean jumping a few feet, but not as far as how H2 lunges were)

Step 3 - A 360-degree swipe if surrounded by enemies or very close ground vehicles, such as a Ghost.

Step 4 - Decisive strike; the H2 lunge without the lunge, should be done after Step 2 and used as a melee attack from behind.

I am stupid because a battery cannot go above fully charged and this is a stupid post.

I agree

It's far into the future and it's alien technology.

If a battery is fully charged, then it is 100% charged, having a weapon that have 80% as full is saying that 80 = 100 which it isn't, it is only showing how much power it got left, compared to how much it was when it was 100% charged

All right, I see it a bit better now.

Most rationally thinking humans would realize at the beginning of the post that 100% is maximum no matter what sport you play (Give it a hundred and ten percent!). I think that there should be an option to switch out batteries like magazines.

They didn't tell us what it was it could have been anything. Frankie gets scared easy incase you didn't know.

Been here 6 years, been blacklisted 6 times, that's why I'm not Mythic.

Basically, saying 75% what you mean by that is that a full battery of that weapon is only equal to 3/4 of the old full battery, right?

i disagree with all of your weapon ideas but this one has been brought about so many times i just had to comment. if you remove the lunge and limit the power you basically make the sword into a novelty weapon, and they should just remove it all together. if you make the sword so you can truly only use it within about 3 feet of your own body then why have it??? every other weapon in the game is ranged, all of them, period. the swords lunge is to compensate for the lack of range. the unlimited battery is a similar type of compensation. in MM weapons respawn at set intervals, meaning unlimited ammo for these ranged weapons, while the sword is being carried, it never respawns, meaning if it had a battery it would die fast and be useless and you would have to wait for a new one to respawn after you already run out. thus it should have unlimited battery life.

it's fine the way it is, leave it alone, or remove it completely.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND ME GROUP INVITATIONS

The Halo REACH Script (post thoughts in thread)

Writing Lead of Whisper Studios. Check out Heron!

Look... I'm on bungiepedia!

I like where you're going with this, exccept for the Sword thing.

If dual wielding was changed my way (add more recoil, reload guns seperately) rather than Bungie's way (double firepower with no drawbacks) the Sword would be a perfectly balanced thing.

If it's in Halo 3, keep it exactly the same, and make the other weapons more like the ones in Halo, not Halo 2.

And as for the 80% charge thing..it's like saying "This one goes to 11" (Hehe) while you just need to change the amount of battery drained, rather than the overall charge.
