and if you are in a space ship, like the first level in H1, and a couple other of the levels in multiplay and campaign in H2, you could like blow open a window or a chunk of armor plating and the emergency shutters would slowly close, but all those who get sucked out of the ship, have to find a way to get back in within a certain time limit or they get trapped in the gravity field of a planet and die...

if there were levels with heavy things hangingon wires, i.e. a construction yard, and then you could shoot a big tank of gas' wire to fall on someone, then if someone tries to drive by it later. you could shoot it and blow them up and make a big hole and debris so it would be hard to drive by it, because in a warthog, the tires would pop, or melt to the ground, making it useless...

i voted maybe. if bugie does put in destructible scenery, it will have to be reasonaable. We wouldnt want compettitive play to be too dependant on destructive scenery. Imagine the coagulation flagbase, which already has 6 entrances. It would be insane if you could blow 6 more entrances in it, or blow your way out after getting the flag. If bungie did this they would have to construct the levels accordingly, with some that take advantage of destructible scenery and some that dont. So they could make a city level which is highly destructible and encourages tactical wall destruction to get flag caps, but also a forerunner level like lockout with very few destructible parts. Bases MUST NOT BE COMPLETELY DESTRUCTIBLE.

Has anyone here played Black? They boasted pure destruction but once you play, you realize they just set an explosive near a few enemies? Halo will ahev some destructible stuff, but lets jsut hope it doesn't end up like Black. I'm not sure about total destruction though. That would need a amazing engine and i'm not sure they had the tech when they started but we can only hope.

Yes, human objects in most cases would be highly destructible, but on like lockout, where it was all forerunner except for the mountain, then it would be barely destrucible

they should make fully destructable scenery but that can only be destryoed by a good amount of scorpion shots. or wraith.

I can't tell if your joking but I really do want the bases to blow up in asault casue I do not feel like carrying that bomb 2 hundred yards jsut to have it kill me!

Lol... Good point... maybe the bases could be fully destructible for assault only, but in normal games, if it is forerunner=invincble

i think the persdon who died should be able to tap a button combo for the self destruction, cause it would be too easy to kill things with the auto self destruct

A rocket should blow a junk of dirt off the ground or wall.. it should make trees fall apart.

People constantly ask for realistic, yet they also want balance and not to much interactivity with the levels.. war is not balanced.

of course i realize the technical and otherwise problems it would have during development... But after all the migraines and upset stomaches from drinking too many frappacinos, and Take 5 candy bars... it will all be worth it... to me and many others

While that would be quite awkward... it would showcase the power of real grenades and the destructible scenery would show people how scary war can be and how hopeless Master Chief is... or at least looks like in the trailer...
