:: Ackerson ::
Maybe I went a little far by saying that Ackerson being at Halo..but has anyone heard the quote by Nylund, that went a little like this :::

"Surveyed by who?" after someone asked how Threshold had a name since "No one" surveyed//ecountered them to have the name "Threshhold" or "Basis" on file..
This has to do with what?
Posted by: MLG Cheehwawa

It was confirmed that the "second batch of Spartans" was being made -- which is why Mendez left John and his Spartans. To train the new ones..
And we don't know what has happened since then. This means nothing until confirmation.
Posted by: MLG Cheehwawa

The first Spartans were regular Soldiers (Some people even think Mendez or even Johnson were S-Is..who better to train a Spartan, than a Spartan..and Johnson is just plain badass.), without the amplified MJOLNIR armor, and none of the Spartan IIs were cloned fighters, so one can easily assume that "Spartan Clone" is referring to the SPartan IIIs.
This still proves nothing, everything is left open to interpretation until confirmation. Where are these clones?
Posted by: MLG Cheehwawa

Didn't Ackerson both get the Spartans' DNA, and have a project "on par with her (Halsey's) Spartan Project"
This still only proves that Ackerson has plans, this doesn't mean anymore Spartans exist. It does not state how far along the project is.

::HEH And TL34::
68+7=Number of known Spartans..so long as they are MIA/KIA.WIA (So Cassandra, James, Kelly are not necessarily dead)

1. Chief
2. Fred
3. Will
4. Linda
5. Unnamed
6. Unnamed
7. Previously Unnamed, but it is -062 from HGN
I understand that the Multiplayer maps may have something to do with the story. I am not saying that this is a coincidence, knowing Bungie it isn't, but it still doesn't say anything about 'more' showing up in Halo 3.
Posted by: MLG Cheehwawa

Would "solid evidence" mean the image of a Spartan on the level Pillar of Autumn? It's not the Chief's since ther'e two Cryo Chambers..Linda was in Cryo at the ed of FoR. Or the Spartan in "Conversations from the Universe", which came with Halo 2..
And I can disprove this by saying it may have just been a template. You were not in the 'tube' when you saw the bio-monitor and there was a Spartan on there, correct? This was you when you are in it, why is it not gone when you are out of the tube? Bungie conveniently had the cryo shutters closed during Halo so we couldn't see if there was another Spartan there or not.

Also, the HCE booklet thing could've easily just been for a dramatic effect, much like how it sometimes states Halo will kill everything, rather than just Sentient life.
Or it could have been fact. Everything here still remains selective interpretation until confirmation. ;-)

The quote from the booklet can be explained by saying that it was thought that you were the Last Spartan. Not many people knew about Ackerson's clones, Linda was Dead, and everyone else thought they died on Reach.

After Halo: CE takes place, in the books, there is the mention of the 9 or so remaining Spartans. Up to this point we know there are other Spartan II's alive, the books say so. So is this a debate on if the books were true or not?

I believe the books over the CE booklet. There are many reasonable explanations why the lone Spartan is in the booklet, may of which have nothing to do with the Halo Universe.

S-3 file also had the cloning file with it and i think i git it othere then the few spartans that were still alive in the book. when it said spartan clone traning ground thing i think s3 are more power full s2 then thatwould mean to all know spartans during halo ce mc is the last of his kinda because he dint know of the survivors and clones arent the same as mcso hood might have a group of s2 spartans cloned already and dr. haisly knows that and some guy mentiond this and had lost of great theroys said that 30 spartans should still be a live after they were first changed and theres still may be 30 spartans were ever dr haisly and kelly whent

No, it is a debate of whether they will be in Halo 3 or not. I love to debate, that is why I am doing this. He says there will be, I say there won't it is a never ending circle of speculation until confirmation. That is my new coined phrase. ;-)

that which is not dead can eternal lie, but with strange aeons even death may die.

there is no doubt in my mind that there are more spartans.

fred
linda
will
john
these are the spartans I believe will be on earth during halo 3, now If you see them, or they are accually In the game, only Time will tell.

Kelly
and the spartans-III or Clones, I believe they will either be a shocking new part of halo 3, or just remain in the book. ghosts of choral.

but then, there remains evidence of even more spartans than that.

there was a long theory of Doctor hasley and her conspiracy with the 30 or 35 spartans that died from the augmentations, even though there was a measly 5% chance of death. I believe that those 30-35 spartans were cloned. hence Chiron and its cloning facilities.

Of course the books are true. Many people might not think so, but the books and games go together perfectly. In my opinion the reason some people think this isnt true is because in the books you get to read the characters thoughts. The characters thoughts are what makes up most of the books. That and space battles. You dont get to see or hear these things in the games, and that is why the games and books seem so different.

The new book could be about what the spartans are doing during halo 2.

that which is not dead can eternal lie, but with strange aeons even death may die.

Speaking of Ackerson and speculation of him.

This is an old theory that is NOT MINE, Im just going to bring it up again.

FACTS!>Answers supporting the theory.

Threshold and basis were surveyed by someone.> ONI section 3 and Colonel Ackerson.

the MP map RAT RACE and it being tunnels underground halo.>ONI-section 3 and Colonel Ackerson dug, to train the S-IIIs

The amount of human flood and human epuipment on installation 04 and 05> I believe that Ackerson has found the location of halo and new all about it, he was not dumb enough to unlock the flood, but he was training spartans, which I believe were in great number.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
new theory I made myself. (I felt good that moment)
more evidence that there were spartan-IIIs training in the halos, look at every multiplayer map.

RED and BLUE, just something made by bungie, I think not.

I think that Blood gulch, some of the other Multiplayer Map do egsist on the halos, and spartans did fight there. I dont know about killing each other but...If Ackerson WAS cloning, why not clone a hell of alot, like star wars....why make 1 when you can make a thousand.

I personaly Dont belive that the spartan 3s are any different physically, just that they are 100% brainwashed soldiers, made just like that for the ONI. I think they have no personality, and are just killing machines, litterally, the terminator, (less machanical.)

so, what do you guys think.

that which is not dead can eternal lie, but with strange aeons even death may die.

my last theory of spartans accually fighting on the halo's jsut made me think, look at the story for redvsblue, of how the Reds and blues kept fighting each other, but had the same High Command, I think that maybe someone in RVB got some intel from bungie, or, red vs blue story accually goes with halo story. maybe colonel Ackerson, is the Commander that is in charge of RED and BLUE.

ok, maybe not. but that did sound really cool and interesting when I though of it in my head.

Yeah sure in the halo ce booklet it says your the last of your kind. But thats just what chief and everyone else thought. Everyone thought all exept chief died on reach. And I doubt it would say "You think your the last of your kind but your acctually not coz after this game MC goes and saves them with a magic stone". And he is the last one until he goes back in time to reach with that rock (in the first strike...? i havnt read it yet but thats what happens isnt it?). So in Halo CE hes the last spartan but in H2 hes not.

Oh, and TECHNICALLY, he was the last Spartan II that was originally at REACH, because the Time Warping Crystal brings Chief and Cortana (as well as Halsey and the Spartans)backwards to before Reach was completely glassed, and Linda was medically dead on the PoA (but then revived)

I know that the books are true, and if we can agree that in the Halo Universe at this point and time (with what we know so far) there are other Spartans alive besides 117, than it's only a matter of where the Halo story goes from here. There are other Spartans alive, but if they will be in the game is up to the developers of the game, not necessarily the Halo Bible.

Before Halo: CE was released nobody could have anticipated that the Halo Universe would blow up to the size it did.

That's because no one knew about it?

UPDATE Added one more proof for..(Spartan 3s)

Really, does ANYONE have factual proof against more Spartans showing up?

No, because there really can't be factual proof. The only thing you can really do is destroy the proof that they will be there.

However, I'm not going to do that, either. But, just for a moment, think about Halo 2. Shouldn't some of the other Spartans be over there? But they aren't. So yes, they still exist, but they might not have them in the games because of playability issues. First, they'd need to be invincible, and having a lot of invincible people is never a good thing. Second, they could just end up doing all the work, which Bungie wouldn't want.

At Comic Con today, it was announced by Frank that the "Spartans" issue was going to be addressed at some point in upcoming Halo properties, either in Halo 3, or the Halo comic line starting in Summer of 2007, I'm guessing. So for those who are totally opposed- it definitely seems like a possibility.

Linky :)

Anywho, to me, one of the biggest pieces of evidence comes from the end of Halo 2, when MC identifies himself to Lord Hood as "Spartan 117" instead of his military title, MCPO- to me this indicates that there may have been confusion as to what Spartan he was (if he was the last, why would he need to identify which one he was?).
