All the time before the trailer i used to believe that the object on Coral could be the ARK. Now i think that the Ark is on Earth so what is this huge object mentioned in conversations from the universe?I believe it has to play an importand role in halo 3 because otherwise they would not mention it.Could it be some kind of monument to the history of the forerunners, perhaps the place where all questions will be answered?

if you remember from the CftU booklet, it says that the stone was untouched when blasting, when all the rock around it was vaporized. i don't think glassing the planet will effect it.

Actually, no. It's the top of a buried structure, presumably Forerunner in origin, that is constructed of a metallic crystal (that being the material it is made out of). It's a building of some kind, an underground vault that was partially uncovered during routine quarrying. I've actually based one of my fanfics, Tomb of Glass, on it. But no, not a crystal.

It could be a Forerunner tomb.

Not good. The ONI knows about it. If they know about the Halos as well, then that's even more trouble.

Just like Reach, not all of Coral was glassed. They wouldn't glass all of it if there was an artifact somewhere on/in it.

yes i agree that its definalatly metalic crystal, but like the Ark of the Bible, this structure supposedly has many rooms, so going back to the old theory- mabe the Ark is on Coral, of corse mabe its not...
