I think bungie will overhauld their website when halo 3 comes, as I think they should. The forums might need a revamp. What do you all think? If the forums looked fun, like halo2forum.com, that would be great.

The reason is simple, having the bungie.net can be more desirable than it is now.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND ME GROUP INVITATIONS

Look... I'm on bungiepedia!

I'd like to see many things..some of whiche are:

More Stickies, stating all the forums of cheating, including BXR, BXB, RRX, Superjumps, Mod, Standby etc, and anyone asking how to do them will be banned ASAP.

A "Friends List" of sorts on Bungie.net, so you and friends could communicate easier Online, rather than needing to form groups to do so.

An "Online Icon" similar to what myspace uses..so you could see if a person is Online in the forums/Xbox Live to try and contact them..

The ability to send a friend request to a person, so long as your gamertag is linked to Bungie.net.

The ability to show a certain number of PM's per page (Ex. 10, 20, 30, 50, etc.)

The ability for forum-goers to 'delete' and/or 'lock' threads...err, or just 'push them back' to page two with a voting system. So many times, people will create and re-create stupid threads. I mean, look at half the main front page..

---I think that somewhere around 2/3 of the people other than the topic starter (who could be filtered by IP addresses, or account names..or both) would need to vote to get rid of the topic, leaveing more room for good topic like this one. =] ---

Howbout the Forum skin..does the light blue on light-ish blue annoy anyone else? I think that the tables should be darker, and the text even lighter..but that's just me..

A "Halo Movie" and "Halo Literature" Forum sections...Once Halo 3 is released, many people from Mombasa, and the former Zanzibar will turn this into a flame, and spam fest about derankers, and saying how much they hate Bungie for the gameplay changes.

A spot under your name to place your gamertag, and a link to your stats so you wouldn't have to take up so much sig-space to put it there...

More options for our profiles, like adding a personal picture, fav. weapons/,aps/games and such...the option of doing html in the "about me" section..
---People who put in "naughty pictures" and such would have their IP's banned from accessing Bungie.net.---

The ability to quote people from a locked thread..

We've been here since you left.
We left before you came.

I'm sure Bungie.net didn't look the same in 2001

I also think (and I might sound stupd for saying this because there might be something like this already.) but when there is a response to a thread that you have posted in, then, I think you should get an email notification or something. Often time I have returned to a forum and I cannot find the freakin' thread.

I like all the ideas. This forum is kinda lame, only because there is sooo much potential.

Bungie needs to lose this "Ideal Science" stuff, and get IPB.

I will not even visit the bungie.net when Halo 3 comes out. I'l be playing until I beat the campaign then a little (or a lot) of multiplayer then I MIGHT go to bungie.net . Other then that, there would be no reason to visit this site again since we wont have to say to ourselves
"Maybe tommorow there will be a pic on the site!!!" <----- Because thats the only reason why many of us actually visit the site.
