Us having the joy of imagining what might be in Halo or even if someone asks you, what would you put in Halo? You'd get some pretty off-the-wall and creative responses. We aren't thinking about "how could this be balanced?" or "how would the physics engine handle this sort of thing?", we're just imagining, so what do you expect? There's no need to get mad at someone because they're thinking of strange ideas, it's their ideas. And these discussions are to be expected from Halo fans!
EDIT: And instead of being a carbon copy of what everyone seems to be saying, a few people have decided to be secure enough to actually be individuals and say ideas. Unlike some people, I'm not going to let what I think you think the majority thinks from keeping me from using my imagination and actually, go figure, have a good time imagining what will be in the video game!

but more on the topic, and in reference to the above, many factors come into play. IF, and only IF there are indeed airstrikes, would they be merely background visuals, or included in actual gameplay as strategy? I think including them in the level design would be great. An example of this would be running past a tower, and all of the sudden a missile or rocket or bomb hits the tower, and it starts to fall over, and you run for cover, or while you are embedded with fellow marines, requesting for evac, a warhead crashes into the bunker and knocks everyone over.
