first, i want to know if your game is running slow in campaign, or multiplayer.
if its in campaign, you should try lowering the graphics quality until it is at your prefferred point. if it is in multiplayer, then its probably network lag.

Thank you Captain Obvious.

You beat me to it!

But seriously though. This game is how old now? Everybody knows about the lag.

Points for trying to be helpful though.

My game runs at a steady framerate of 30 fps. It's good.

I can run Halo at a decent framerate high resolutions, but I usually play at 800 X 600, with all settings maxed.

I get steady 70's/80's with everything maxed (including resolution and everything turned on). Ha!

Lucky people. I have an odd scenario -- I use a good PCI graphics card, the 3D Fuzion Gamers 256 MB GeForce FX 5500, which actually run games like BFII at max settings and res with a steady 30 FPS. For some reason, with Halo, I can only use decals, textures, and shadows at max to achieve 30 FPS steadily, and even then at a resolution of 640x480. Makes me sorta frustrated at the lessened visual quality. :|

I play on 640x480 (I don't see any difference from 800x600) and I get 30+ FPS.

Ehh -- I take that back. I was inspired by that post, so I went to find drivers and found out that I was using a 2004 driver from nVidia. :) Updated it, and at 800 x 600 I get everything at max and frame rates of 30 - 60 constantly, with nothing below 30.

Much better, I'd say.
