YAY im getting a new computer soon.so now ill be able to play halo.after having to wait a month.

If you plan on getting a power unit make sure you have adequate ventilation. The more power the unit produces the more heat it generates. And heat = bad for computers. That reminds me, i should go down and pick up a can of compressed air.

Then again, don't get TOO many fans. My chopshop made PC had 4 separate internal ones, and when my PSU died, the replacement couldn't handle the voltage and kept shutting off after 10 seconds. I had to kill two of the coolers to get it to work.

haha no its not possible to get too powerful of a power supply. I'd say your average non-sli computer should be safe with a 400-450watt psu. That would be more than enough if your not having anything insane like 5 hard drives, 4 dvd drives, sli video cards ect....
