You are acting like you was in the fight and it happened to you.

Okay, I was playing AotCR, and I was at the end of the marine part. Out under the two bridges, the ghosts and banshees out, and the turrets by the door. Yeah, that part. There are three ghosts going around. I have a pistol and a rocket launcher, and I'm gunning down one of the ghosts with my pistol, because if I used my rocket launcher, I'd kill myself. The marines are dealing with the other two. I finally pin that one, and it explodes. I turn around to assist the marines with the other two, and one of the ghosts id going right for me, very fast. This next part all happens in about 1-2 seconds. It comes at me, I shoot it with my pistol, and I can't kill it, it's futile, I pretty much know I'm going to die, when suddenly, "BOOM!", the ghost explodes, and flies right over my head. My shields took a blow, but I lived. The marines shot it enough that it exploded an inch from me. It was so exhillarating, and amazing. A hairs length from death, and the marines save me in a split second. It was very cool.
IS it so wrong to make an escape from Death a first-person narritive(even in a video game?)
