Yeah I noticed that also. I also noticed that the ones they did use, that in H1 they had a bunch of individual feathers on its head. Yet on H2 it has a whole bunch put in together.

They've changed from game to game. They both do the same thing though. Have shields, annoy the hell out of you rolling around and shooting a PP shot at you, or overcharging their PP and taking down your shields when a Flood combat form with a shotugn or RL comes charging in and blows your ass up when you could've survived if you had shields.

There are different Grunts too. Curvy tops and pointy tops.

And different Elites. Look at the helmets.

Yes, also curvy and pointy. The Grunt thing was wether or not the methane tank was filled to capacity. It curves in for space storage as it loses gas.

Curves IN? You make it sound as if those tanks are flexible, I just thought it was alternate equipment considering the full-face mask.

just a quick piece of trivia but did anyone know that Jackals aren't really Covenant? They are actually mercenaries working for the Covenant, very few of them are actually devoted to the convenant's religon.

if the game manual is correct than the color indicates rank not the shape of the helmet

In halo 1 the jackals have either blue or yellow shields but in halo 2 the jackals have green and orange it seems. Either that or my new TV has screwed up colors.

Yes, I've seen the two different kinds.
But in halo 2, there is one with a green sheild, and one with a yellow one.
