I can't remember the last time I played Halo online without listening to music. Curious as to see how many of you listen to music, and what you listen to. Certain beats definitely get me in the groove. Most of the music I play to is progressive house/electronica. Gets me pumped and keeps me looking around and alert.

Most of the time I have WinAmp running while I'm playing Halo. Don't really have a prefered genre for gaming, usually anything with a fast beat and electric guitar. Some tunes really get me in the groove. The Halo 2 MJOLNIR mix is pretty sweet to listen to while you're laying the hurt on someone.

I've got these on:
Conker: Live & Reloaded Soundtrack
StarCraft: Brood War and Original StarCraft Soundtracks
Command & Conquer: Generals and Zero Hour Soundtrack
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2, Hell March 2
I don't have any Halo on there because I've listened to it so much, that it's gotten old. :(

I listen to some music occasionally. This is one of my favorites: Link. Here is a whole page of this kind of music, just click a link: Other Link and this is one of the more famous songs: I think you should recognize it.

I never do because in Halo MP you must hear the shots, footsteps, sniper shots, and "Red Team has the flag".

I have learned to listen to the subtle sounds in Halo to pickup on approaching hogs, hear enemies around the corner, and determine direction of fire. I also use headphones and it makes a big difference over speakers. No music hear.

Sometimes I play with music on, I have a gaming playlist for rock and fast-paced music. But most of the time music pulls me out of the immersion in gaming, so I just do without it. Because if I had music on I wouldn't be able to hear a heavy noob's rocket launcher make that clicking sound when it means he has no more ammo and I can safely three shot his butt with impunity.

Whenever I'm pubbing I listen to music, but Kl-an Wars and Dance Dance Revolution midi's don't go along together.

Sometimes I listen to music, sometimes I don't. When I do, I put iTunes on random and see what comes up. Although sometimes things like Sublime (good for sniping lol), both Halo Soundtracks, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, the 2 Perfect Dark soundtracks and Nikelback, for example, are more appropriate sometimes, other things don't work. For example, Bob Marley makes me want to go up to my enemies' base, hug everyone and share a spliff; Muse makes me want to commit suicide in various interesting ways; the Penguin Cafe Orchestra makes me want to chill; Habib Koite makes me want to set up a market in the middle of Blood Gulch and start talking in some random West African language; and Faithless makes me want to dance. The problem is I have such diverse music tastes, I never know what will come up.

Whoa long post.

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time. I know who you are. You are destiny.

I listen to soem Metal, Classic Rock, some Kayne West type Rap, and some Electronica. It get's me hype and focuses me more on enemies. I was thinking on making a video with some music.

I usually listen to rock, mostly consisting of AC/DC. I can still hear all of the Halo sound effects, so, my gaming isn't effected at all.
