What? Play a game? FOR FUN???
This concept of fun confuses and infuriates me!

I've got surround sound too. Its a nice feature. Its hard to have 2 speakers after experiencing how nice surround is. Murder from all around you, not just the front.
If I listen to music, its generally 80's rock. But if Rush comes up, I've noticed I kill less and die a lot more, because I concentrate on the rythem of the music, rather than the smooth beat of the AR.

And it's your connection that's slower than turtle sex.

In........................................................Out .

I usually listen to music when I play halo, it's divided into 2 different groups

For normal combat: Rock and fast pace music.
For sniping: Nice, relaxing slow paced music Eg. In Amber Clad from the Halo 2 soundtrack.

Besides, Having to hear sound isn't really an issue to me, because

A. Usually, my teammates warn us all when a hog is approaching, or if infantry is approaching (this part usually only in places like Gephyrophobia and danger canyon)

Or

B: I turn on Itunes and leave it on so the game sound is mixed with the music, but can I ask a question about that, does it cause lag to leave Itunes on?

Heh, about the only time I listen to techno is when I play halo for a quick session. Halo may be an M-rated shooting game. But I feel better after playing a few trigger happy matches with fast beats running through my headphones. Although a waste of adrenaline, (xD) the music hightens my senses and reflexes. I just hope the computer can keep up. I'm getting a good desktop soon so that won't be a problem. Techno's not the best every day music, but it works for playing online. Sadly, I'm confined to dialup for most of the summer.... I'll be on cable in a few weeks. But only for a few days before I come back up here to my favorite island house. (No, it's just a cabin) Basicly, yeah I do listen to music but not recently. Especialy on this laptop that can barely handle halo with good graphics. Sharing that with xfire and WMP... not the best combo.

no, leaving itunes on doesnt cause lag. that is unless you are downloading music from it, or if are using it to share m usic over your network and someone is somehow listenting to enough music to saturate your lan connection.

All the time. Well I guess the music that I listen to is pretty heavy, so that's what I listen to while playing Halo. Mainly Celldweller, Avenged Sevenfold and Disturbed... and occasionally Linkin Park...... and System of a Down.

Though I occasionally listen to Green Day and Three Doors Down while fragging my enemies into dust, I like to hear the game, each blast of gunfire echo in the distance, every bullet leaving pock-marks into the base, the roar of the rockets, the growling engine of a warthog. That is good enough music for me.

I listen to rock, mostly Rise Against. Fun, keeps u alert, and the lyrics sometimes go with what you're doing. I listen to music when I play any pc game.

I always listen to fast paced music, gives me a bigger boost of addrenilan when sniping, i find i play worse without ANd still i cvan here al the shot gonig on around me so it dose not affect my game play. But during 1v1 i will not listen to music. For some reason i play beter without it during 1v1.

I suck when I listen to music and play halo. I only do good with music on while playing Chromehounds and CoD2.

I like to listen to something someone from RVB made. Its an hour long and it calms me down so I don't start freaking out about where people are and I get so many head shots that way!!!!!

Heh, I always listen to music when I'm playing Halo. Usually, I listen to Weird Al -- cause I'm weird :) -- or actual Halo music, like the battle theme.
