I usually listen to music when I play halo, it's divided into 2 different groups
For normal combat: Rock and fast pace music.
For sniping: Nice, relaxing slow paced music Eg. In Amber Clad from the Halo 2 soundtrack.
Besides, Having to hear sound isn't really an issue to me, because
A. Usually, my teammates warn us all when a hog is approaching, or if infantry is approaching (this part usually only in places like Gephyrophobia and danger canyon)
Or
B: I turn on Itunes and leave it on so the game sound is mixed with the music, but can I ask a question about that, does it cause lag to leave Itunes on?
no, leaving itunes on doesnt cause lag. that is unless you are downloading music from it, or if are using it to share m usic over your network and someone is somehow listenting to enough music to saturate your lan connection.
