The War is over... The Rain is falling...

Should they come back? even though they were wiped out, could there be more that join the Arbitar and help destroy the Covanent

And the sentinals, what of them? are they on The Arbitar's side or what

Since the Elites resigned from the Covenant, and the Arbiter is an Elite, as well as the Grunts and Hunters, basically the heretics will come back just they might join the UNSC forces.

They can join forces still to do what is right, stopping the prophet of Truth. But that doesnt meen that they have to like eachother!

true dat!

The Arbiter has obviously joined with the humans left on Halo (Keyes and Johnson) but that does not mean the rest of humanity will agree to an aliance as easily.

We have to keep in mind that, aside from their brief contact in the clutches of the gravemind, the Chief and the Arbiter have not comunicated with eachother at all. I personally can not see the MC easily trusting those that he has been fighting for a quarter of a century.

OH NOEZ TEH ARBITAR N33DS H3LP!!11!

Technically, all Elites, Grunts, and Hunters are Heretics -- the ones on Earth just don't know it yet.

The heretics were wiped out in halo 2. as for the elites joining with the humans, it should not happen. short-term cooperation (like the arbiter and johnson at the end of halo 2) I could see, but only on a small scale (less than a dozen elites working with a similar number of humans in dire situations.) but a true allanace?
no.
Think about it, to an elite any human is (excuding the spartans) not even worth the plasma used to kill us, we are vermin, foul creatures who do not deserve to live. how could an alliance be possibe when they loath us so?

Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

the elites didn't threaten to leave the covenant they threatened to resign from the council. after Truth put the brutes in charge it ignited a "civil" war of sorts between the elites and brutes. but the elites hold the respect of the hunters and the admiration of the grunts. leaving only jackals and drones at the command of the brutes. this doesn't mean that the elite faction has joined with the humans. i'm not saying it won't happen, but it hasn't happened yet.

to stay on topic, anyone who has left the beliefs of the covenant, ultimately Truths beliefs, is considered a heritic and labeled as such. so i wouldn't be the least bit suprised if Truth called all those who side with the fallen elites heritics.

Acutally the heritics were infested by the flood why do you think they kinda were green those things in their mouths were full of gas to stop the flood infection the was why the sentinals kept moving those canisters of gas around

that which is not dead can eternal lie, but with strange aeons even death may die.

not all the grunts will have joined the Arbiter, same with the hunters, there are just TOO many of them in the entire covenant army,

No the Elites respect humans. The only reason they hate us is because of the prophets tell them to. Actually a couple of Elites were questioning why the prophets dont take us into the covenant and were also saying that we have brilliant battlefield tactics and lastly that some of are weapons are pretty useful.

well it could happen....marriage of convience....hell the US HATED the russians during the second world war....then they became allies to defeat a greater threat....could be the same situation here....elites simply help us to ward off doomsday....then we both go our seperate ways....and about us not being worth much....can't remember where i read this but somewhere there's a passage saying that the elites are wondering why we haven't been welcomed into the covenant yet since we seem to be capable warriors on the ground

The fact of the matter is, the Prophets made the Elites hate us with their lies.

Once the Elites find out we're the Forerunner, they will side with us, and take out the Power Hungry Prophet of Truth.

i'm trying to remember, but at what point in the last two missions for MC and the arbiter do you see grunts and hunters fighting along side the brutes??? i know in MC's last mission when your freeing the marine prisoners you fight through grunts jackals and brutes but that is before cortana makes mention of them starting to fight eachother. after that point i don't ever remember seing a grunt or hunter fighting along side brutes.

the elite race is gonna commit mass suicide once they realize that they've been slowly killing off their own gods

that's total speculation dude. there has never been any hard proof of that. it's not an impossibility but there is nothing present to prove it.

There is proof, because there are times that show the Elite's doubt in the Prophets..why would they think their leaders would think we're not strong enough to join the Covenant, when the Elites would have no problem with us being in here?

Face it, the Prophets used a fake religion to bind the Covenant together, and now it's broken -- War is going to ensue between all sides in Halo 3.
