Oh well, back on topic.
You know what I'm picturing?
As the screen fades in, the dramatic music suddenly explodes(imagine that on surround sound-and every Halo player would jump) showing Earth under heavy siege. Perhaps the heaviest and most intense siege of any world invaded by the Covenant ever described. Thousands of plasma and artillery explosions dot out the space, and equally as much Covenant cruisers and UNSC ships as hundreds of fighters swarm like locusts around the supervessels. Plasma and MACs furiously streak across the black space. Dozens of Covenant ships, MACs, and UNSC ships go up in flames and brilliant explosions sporadically. The Forerunner Ship is easily the biggest object afloat in space among the epic battle as it rotates elegantly and resonantly like a huge top on its side. From the hold of the ship, MC braces himself against the hull-cuts to Cairo station-Cairo station is falling apart(as we've seen from the end of Halo 2), as each closer strikes shake the station violently. Admiral Hood braces himself on the console from being thrown around as muffled explosions are heard throughout the station. The mechanical whining of the MAC heard of Cairo are heard at shorter intervals. Looks like Hood's giving them one hell of a fight. He says to the Chief over the comm that they're being hit hard, the defenses are falling rapidly, and asking whether Chief can assist. As always, Chief replies a confident affirmative.
Camera pans close over the bow of several Longswords-the blinding sun is seen in the background with a Covenant assault carrier engulfed in flames breaking in two taking its flank escorts along with it in the final explosion, then the Forerunner Ship makes a beeline towards Earth. And remember in the Halo 2 E3 Teaser? Those bombardments on Earth's surface. That'll be in there somewhere too.
Whatever happened to the Arbiter, Johnson, and Miranda on Halo? And what about Cortana and Gravemind? Well, those scenes will have to come later. The main hero gets the opening shot.
