Uh...?

Rephrase yourself and we should be able to help you more.

However, if you've got an error box that has a "continue anyways" option, just click it and go on.

Erm...rephrasing is simple. Just remember you've got a period key. Separate your sentences, also. It helps people understand you, trust me.

If you don't have direct draw, its likely your graphics card doesn't support it. Might I suggest a graphics card upgrade?

I know what problem he has. He probably has Windows XP with Service Pack 2 installed, which causes an incompatibility error between Halo, high-end GPUs, and Windows XP SP2. For a download to fix the trial version, go here.

What do you have for a graphics card? Is it new enough to handle the minimum specs for Halo?

Did you read the instructions carefully? It's not an application, it's a file you're supposed to put in your Halo Trials folder.

......

Just put it inside the Halo Trial folder. That's all you have to do. It's simple and easy, don't overcomplicate it.

Are we on the same page here? You put the strings.dll file in your Halo Trial folder, which by default is C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Halo Trial. And no, I don't have AIM.

Okay, just to make sure one last time, you're putting the strings.dll file in the Halo Trials folder, not the actual Halo Trial application itself?

Also, make your own account on Xfire. Send a friend request to n00bie51 when you're finished.

I don't know why it does that to you. It's probably some kind of setting that I don't know how to change. Also, Xfire works fine - when you minimize it you can reopen the Xfire window by your tool bar.

you don't use the file 'strings.dll' on the folder. You PUT IT IN the folder.

Right click on 'Strings.dll' and click 'copy'. then open your C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo: Combat Evolved folder. then in the menu under edit, click 'paste'.

If that doesn't work, go get an Xbox to play Halo. All you have to do is put in the CD...

Right click the thing and you should see undo, cut, copy, etc. Click on copy. Go to the Halo shortcut on your desktop and right click, then click "properties" on the bottom. Now there should be a window with three tabs on the top. Click the "compatibility" tab and click the three boxes under "Display settings" and if your using Windows but not XP, click the "run this program in compatibility mode for:" box and click the drop down and choose whichever operating system you use. I hope that helps.

"The Thing" is a mythical creature that had very good ratings when it first premiered, but in this case it is a reference to your downloaded software, or any software.

Sorry for the double post.

where do i use this copy ccuase like i dont even know when or where to use this copy You like press copy, and your computer like makes a vertual "copy" of the selected program or software or text et cetera in your RAM, and then you like click "paste" and you like stick the copy wherever you clicked "paste". Does that like help you out, man?
