Subject: Have any of you noticed the judgment of other people? How could we ...

Skillet was here and referred to himself in the third person.

I've been coming to this site ever since 2003 but not many people know that. I hardly ever look at member join dates it doesn't matter to me if they are here since 2004 or two days ago. If they help, I respect them. If they are spammers or simply act like jerks, well, I make a mental note of that person and don't talk to them again. Some people have their own problems and simply need to work them out. I just don't take anything personally on the internet and I'm fine.

It's Funny-

My join date has me as an 06'er and I do recieve harassment for it. Despite the fact that I was an avid poster in H3 forum (that one thread with my crazy theory) and I am always bringing people evidence and quotes and good comments and compliments. But I only get the "You're from 2006 you n_ _b", when in fact they're the ones who are the being the whiny adolescent with preteen problems. I'm almost 20 years old. If you expect me to take smack talk from some kid who thinks he owns the place based on his join date, then you can stop right there and get the heck over yourself.

Have you ever been flamed for being new and having people Like you? The first time I went to the flood, the nice people there welcomed me in open arms, and me being the person that I am, became natural with them. I made jokes, good conversation, an overall good time. Then.....the "veterans" come in, and thought I was getting too much attention because I was an 06'er and suggested I leave. Pfft. Please. This isn't your forum. It's not even ours. It's a community. We live and learn from each other, not draw lines based on join date.

M3 Roki7, I'm with you. I still want my join date up though, because I want people to understand that an 06'er is just as capable as posting intelligently as an 05'er.

Come 2007, if anyone of us 06'ers ever gives any new 07 members any form of trouble, you will recieve a smack to the face by my custom made "Frankie" frisbee.

$0.2

ICEMAN is smart...Nice point, I'll probably be more consideret (sp?) in future of newer members...(Although I thought ICEMAN was cool to begin with..)

I have never posted anything to anyone in regards to their "member since" date. I don't understand why that would matter. I never even look at those dates unless the person points something out about that in particular. What a person says has, or should have, NOTHING to do with how long they've been here. I mean, if someone has something valid to say and can contribute to the forums in a mature and literate way, who cares if they've been here 2 years or 2 days?

Yes, you are one of few people on b.net that doesn't judge by b.net join date. Those few have posted within this thread. There are tens of thousands of people that do judge by join date.
