Frankie: "We had some other things that were secrets within secrets. There's an aspect of the Arbiter's character that is still secret to this day and will remain so for good reason."

Also, take a look at T HIS news post at the HBO forums by Marty. He says he can't tell us the Arbiter's actual name
^thanks to opogjijijp

If the Arbiter were actually some type of Spartan or had prior ties to them, it would explain both Frankie's and Marty's statements.

If you have proof that this is completely irrelevant, please let me know, since I'm not a big Halo lore buff. Some of you might say "well duh of course he isn't because he's an elite!" But why do you think that elite became the Arbiter? Because he allowed the destruction of the ring in Halo 1 to happen. Just like Master chief would have wanted (who is a spartan for the complete nubs out there).

I might be way off, but to me it all adds up.

THe Arbiter is a -blam-ing alien. How do you explain him to be a Spartan? No. Just no.

I didn't ever say "omg lol he iz spartan!!1" He might not be at all.. and if he isn't then my new thesis would have to be that he had some prior ties to spartans or the spartan program.

I know what you're saying - opr trying to say - but it's too crazy. And I'm sure the Arbiter's real name was mentioned a few times before; but it's highly unlikely that an alien species that would have been shot at by the Human's if he tried to get close and talk to them, and i highly doubt that a Sanghelli would be chosen for the S-II program, mainly because there's been no evidence at al about this. They would surely have mentioned him in the books. Besides, they would not give such a high ran to an Elite who would have had to go missing for so many years of it's life. The Elites are brought up from birth to be warriors. It's in their blood to fight. But there's no possible way that I can see the Arbiter being a Spartan, mainly because he works so well "pretending" to be a Elite therefore. It just doesn't make sense in the slightest. Sadly. And Marty didn'ty give us the name because he's too special a character and it may just spoil the storyline....somehow...But if you can back it up with much better findings, perhaps.

I truely do hope you are kidding. This is one of the most bizarre things I have ever read on these forums.

Marty's and Frankie's statements could mean a hell of a lot of things that would make more sense than this. How and why would the Arbiter, and Elite who was a former Surpreme Commander, have ties wih the Spartan program, a program that created humanity's most effective force against his people?

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. The burden of proof falls on you to think up a reason that this isn't completely asinine.
