I've been around these parts for almost eight years now...wow! Maybe I should be concerned about that...

Look at the url before you click on links. These forums are always full of idiots who will post those links, and idiots who will reply to them.

its like a large force of win going through fusion, thus creating a chain reaction of a huge asplosion of win destroying any fail within its awesomeness.

All you have to do is check properties on a link in Internet Explorer. Just don't click on suspicious links and only click on links from people you know.

I've been looking for that. I remember you made that in the flood but it got swiched over here. Thank you raven fighter. I didn't see that it became a sticky though.

I made a thread in the Flood because someone posted...well...lets just say it was worse than lemons having parties. The official guide was posted here afterwards, but the thread in the Flood was to warn people to be careful what they click. That goes for all of you..*ahem*

Yep, I was there with my profile m3rokit.

The Frozen Minority - The most infamous clan borne from the Seventh Column.

The beauty of the internet is that it is unsafe, there is no policing and very little monitoring. Any forum with any user can become a vector for the most perverted, gruesome, vile acts to be transmitted. That is the price of unlimited freedom.

Don't click links you are unsure of, even from 'trusted' people - anonymity allows for that kind of thing.

The thing that bothers me is that if you are Male (which I think you are), how can viewing -blam!- really bother you?!

On a more serious note though, I know it's wrong to post it here etc, but there's a lot more to worry about out there in the world than some guy trying to show you a naked woman, you know? As the Eagles say, Get Over It.

Also, why haven't Tiny Urls been banned? Is it because the Moderators use them or something? I think they would make things safer around here. I'd personally never click on a link that re-directs me to anything. I'm not that stupid.
How is it that a gimmick site that allows you to disguise a link to something can be allowed here, but a viewable link to a joke site that claims to have turned you into a zombie (and eats your brain in the process) is outlawed?

Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -
Within each steel-bound coffin of a cell, / Buried alive;
But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

Well, for one thing, it is very easy to turn on tinyurl previews, so hiding urls doesn't really work. Sure, it takes a little bit longer, but it's not that much of a hassle.

I think they probably haven't been banned because of their usefulness in signatures. In my opinion, the good outweighs the bad, especially since you can turn previews on.

Not to long ago (2 min) someone posted a thread with -blam!- inside. The blam is the word horn replacing the "h" with a "p". Some of you might also remember the sweet art thread posted about one month ago. Containing -blam!- aswell. Also Jennele4now's spree of making threads with -blam!- inside. Then there was the site that had to do with the lemons. I ask you, is the forums safe anymore? Can we actually breath, post, and click links securley anymore?

This forum was safe at one point...?

I'm kidding though, but there are just some sick people out there, generally someone who does that either: Has too much free time on their hands or they are just totally weird...I'll go for the second one...

That is what the ninjas are striving to do.

Coming on B.net is like going Trick or Treating. Most times you get good candy. Sometimes you get smarties and pennies and every once in a while you find a razor blade in your Snickers. Check your candy before you eat it man.

The only solution to be really really safe is to turn off your internet, lock your doors, and don't watch TV.

Oh yeah, probably need to turn off your imagination also. (at least I would)

Skillet was here and referred to himself in the third person.

I click on many links. I've seen some pretty sick stuff on these forums but most of those members get blacklisted for posting it. Look at the link description at the bottom...if it's a tunyurl, there is a way to get past that too but I can't remember how. Or you could just look at the first few posts after the main one to see if it's ok to click or not.

We play a mature rated game that involves a lot of carnage. How safe would a Bungie website be? This isn't Nintendo.
