Have you guys ever noticed how long it took Halo PC to come out?? Halo for Xbox was released in 1999 (correct me if im wrong) and it took four years for Halo PC to come out.
I need to correct you sir on this. There WAS no Halo PC, it was not developed until March 2003 when Microsoft offered the job to Gearbox Software to port the game from the Xbox to the PC. What you saw in 1999 and before that was Halo was supposed to be a RTS. So in truth, there was no Halo PC ever after 1999 to 2003. The four years you're talking about was Microsoft decision to put the game on PC or not, and after seeing a slight decline in the Xbox sales which in summer 2003 wasn't a good year for them, Halo PC was born to help Microsoft make some money off the game.
Posted by: And second, comps are expensive and to run Halo PC, you need a snookum comp. Hell, i got a PIV 2.5ghz with 512pc3200 and a radeon 9200se 128 ( i know my card sucks but yah know) and it runs about the same as Halo xbox with out as good of details.
Again, I need to correct you on this and the misconception Halo doesn't run good, PC doesn't run good. First off, Halo isn't a good port on the PC, it doesn't run well because either it was rushed, or not coded correctly. If you look at other games like Deus Ex 2, Far Cry, and Unreal Tournament 2004, they use a more advance, more eye candy, and more codes then Halo itself. And yet, they run correctly, stable, and somewhat very faster then Halo PC. Something is wrong isn't it? I think so its either left to Halo PC being ported incorrectly, or Microsoft is purposely sabotaging their game on the PC.
Most people use thier parents computer if they are under 17, so you got to look at the situation. Consoles are more affordable than PC's from that point of view
No doubt very true, but then what is a 17 year old kid playing a Rated Mature game which is for 18 and up.....As the specs of PC, no PCgamer buys Dell or factory made computers, we all bought parts and put it together which is more cheaper and saves more then half the money you buy for Dell. So PCgamers have to be smart in selecting their hardware, of course thats the fun of it. You have to treat them like a bodyshop worker.
As for the rest, if Halo 2 doesn't come to PC, no biggie. I'm not going to go out and buy it on Xbox either because if i do, then I have to go to the doctors and she will reconstructure my whole hand bone because of the controller. Yes I have hand cramps when using any controller. Thats why I wish Microsoft should have release a keyboard and mouse for the Xbox, but they don't want to support the minor groups. cheers.
