I just got Halo PC working. It said the video card wasn't compatible, so i updated the latest drivers, and it worked, but all the MC's are white, and the visors are black. It's like it's in safe mode. I have an SiS 661fx 32 meg video card. If it isn't enough, I might have to get a new one tomorrow. Help anyone?

Thanks

Right-click your Halo icon and go to properties. In the target field(if you have XP) it will look like this: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\halo.exe" add -use11 to the end so it looks like this: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\halo.exe" -use11

Other helpful switches:
-useff -- if you have a REALLY crappy card or integrated graphics
-novideos -- will remove the startup videos but also the cutscenes in the campaign
-console -- allows you to use the Halo console to issue kick/ban commands etc.

Some of those switches should help out, I would think.

No, they do not make a difference at all except kill your framerate. Your graphics seems to be integrated. I have an Intel Integrated and it had the same problem. There was a patch that fixed the colors and added ground detail. However I don't know of any color patch for your chip. Better just get a real card. At least a 6200, which is what I am hoping to get.

How much did that cost you, and where from did you get it? I am thinking about buying the same card.
