Well, I just had this idea, so I thought I would throw it out.
In H3, I think it would be cool if when you jumped out of the warthog it remained in neutral, and perhapse with the steering wheel locked into place. that way you could jump out and have the warthog roll around a corner, or into a rocket weilding enemy. Maybe if you held the A button before jumping out it would leave the parking brake on so your warthog didn't roll away when you didn't want it to.

--I posted this in annother thread, but for the sake of consolidation I figured I would put it here as well.--

Another Idea I had along these lines was that instead of being placed next to the warthog when you get out, Perhpase you could simply be standing in the driver seat when the controls are returned to you, so you could jump out whichever way you saw fit. Of course the whole splattering thing would have to be modified so you could actualy stand in the seat without killing yourself or flying out the back. this could allow for things like driving up to a building and jumping onto a ledge, or to jump acrost large gaps in the floor by using your momentum. one could also drive there warthog towards annother vehicle, alongside another vehicle, or under annother vehicle, and jump out and board said vehicle. as I said before, the physics would have to be improved to allow such things, as they where in halo 2 such things would be impossible.

That's actually a really good idea, but you would have to do something, like what's a button you never use in the wharthog when dreiving? Maybe the R button.

Yeah, you seea group of enemies ahead, or maybe a fusion core explosive, you hold the R button, that locks it, and you jump out.

Good idea.

I was thinking that it would always do that when you jumped out, unless you held the A (or whatever the brake button will be, I assume it will be the same) button before you get out.

I also Imagine it could be used for other vehicles as well. say you took a ghost to go get a sniper rifle or something. Rather than just park it, you could hop in, point it at your base, and lock the boost thing on so a teammate can get it when it runs into the wall.
