I didn't have the time to read all of the 223 pages of posts so if somebody already said this I don't know about it.

This goes along with the fist idea but i think you should be able to pick up stuff and bash people with it. Like taking a rock and then using melee for a really powerfull hit. What would be really sweet is picking up a chair by one of its legs and swinging at enemies. If you pick up something it will put both of your weapons on hold and if you want to switch back it will drop the item and replace it with a gun.

Another idea is that the things you pick up (if they are big enough) can block attacks, so that chair could also be used to hold off a sword. It would be really cool if when somebody shot the thing in your hand enough something cool will happen to it. (example, the chair will rip appart when shot in the right places, or the rock will be shot outof your hand.)

That would be the coolest thing in Halo 3.

Edit: I didn't mean to make a new topic. this was supposed to be in the weapons section and I am gonna make a copy there to.

...And so the hero crawled through the fissure on the surface of Tyr. There, the lone Dwarf stared into the cold, dark eyes of Soulblighter...The fiend hefted his blade over his shoulder as a flock of raven took upon his form...
